Chevrolet is preparing its assault on small cars with something to compete with the likes of the Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit and Ford Fiesta. Its secret weapon? An all-new Chevrolet Aveo.
Set to debut at this year’s Paris Motor Show, the new Aveo boasts an aggressive look that Autoblog says should “give the Aveo plenty of menace for a vehicle this size.” After taking a look at available powertrains -- that range from a 70 horsepower 1.2-liter four-cylinder to a 115 horsepower 1.6-liter four -- Autoblog writes “this little sucker might scoot along with the best of them.”
Although its look has spunk to it, KickingTires reports that the Aveo will likely remain practical: “The new Aveo is wider and longer than the current model, which should give it interior and cargo volumes that are among the best in the class.”
According to Motor Trend, shoppers can get an early peek at the Aveo on September 30 when it debuts. However, it won’t hit dealer lots until sometime in 2011.
