Ford Motor Co. earned high praise from San Diego-based consumer research firm Strategic Vision for its improved performance on a survey that measures the perceived total value of new cars and trucks, the Detroit Free Press reported.
Ford showed the most improvement Strategic Vision said, and had five segment leaders—the most of any automaker, the paper said. Also, for the first time since the survey’s inception in 1995, Toyota did not have a top-rated vehicle in any segment, the Free Press said.
Strategic Vision surveyed 48,228 people who bought cars and trucks between September 2008 and March 2009, the paper said. The survey measures attributes consumers want, such as reliability, fuel economy and innovation against the price paid and the customer’s experience, the story said. (Detroit Free Press)
