Fusion named Motor Trend’s Car of the Year

The 2010 Ford Fusion has been named Motor Trend magazine’s 2010 Car of the Year, The Detroit News reported.
The announcement was made today at a ceremony at Ford Motor Co.’s world headquarters in Dearborn, Mich., the paper said. “Ford has proven its resilience in these tough times by delivering to market a car with broad appeal to a broad range of consumers,” Angus MacKenzie, Motor Trend’s editor-in-chief, said, according to the News.
The Fusion beat out 22 competitors including the Buick LaCrosse, Toyota Prius, Porsche Panamera, Hyundai Genesis Coupe and others, the story said. (The Detroit News)
