GM dealers want more vehicles

GM dealers want the automaker to ship as many as four times the number of vehicles the company initially planned to build in October, top executives said Thursday and the Detroit News reported.
In an internal report, obtained by the newspaper, GM officials were surprised to find dealers wanted far greater numbers than the company had projected. According to the story, there was higher interest in vehicles like the Chevrolet Equinox, Buick LaCrosse and GMC Terrain.
While the report does not mean GM will build all of those vehicles, it helps the company determine how much demand to expect, said a company spokesman quoted in the story. (The Detroit News)
