GM freezes PAC contributions

GM’s political action committee (PAC) hasn’t made a campaign donation in more than six months, according to a story in the Detroit News, and it won’t make any donations this year. GM doesn’t plan to resume contributions until next year at the earliest, a GM spokesman said.
Chrysler had halted donations in the early part of the year, and its PAC was left behind in bankruptcy court as part of the old company’s assets, according to the story. The company says its plans for making political donations are still under discussion.
