GM may drop Pontiac, GMC brands

GM may drop the Pontiac and GMC brands as a way of cutting costs, according to a story by Bloomberg. The U.S. government’s auto task force is looking at dropping both brands to avoid bankruptcy. GM’s Cadillac, Buick and Chevrolet brands would not be dropped, according to Bloomberg. The automaker already has said it would sell or kill its Hummer, Saab and Saturn brands. (Bloomberg)
