GM unveils two-year product plan around four core brands

General Motors Co., trying to build confidence in the marketplace after a stint in Bankruptcy Court, unveiled its two-year product plan today, the Automotive News reported.
Highlights, the publication said, include a new small car for Chevrolet, the Spark, will be positioned below the Aveo; Buick will get two new crossovers and two sedans smaller than the 2010 LaCrosse; a subcompact crossover for GMC is under study and Cadillac will add a small model below the CTS and a flagship to replace the DTS and STS, the story said.
