Isuzu to stop SUV, pickup sales in U.S.
After an eight-year slide in U.S. sales, Isuzu Motors Ltd. is folding up its tent.
The Japanese automaker, which once had been a pioneer in the American SUV market, said Wednesday that it would stop selling its pickups and SUVs in the United States early next year.
Its exit marks the first departure of an Asian automotive brand from the U.S. market since Daewoo Motor Co. withdrew in 2002 after spiraling into bankruptcy.
