▼ 23% Industry total, 758,531 units from 984,743 units a year ago.
▲ 24% Kia, 21,623 units vs. 17,383 units
▲ 27% Hyundai, 31,511 units vs. 24,765 units
▲ 4% BMW, 19,175 units vs. 18,506 units
▼ 1% Volkswagen, 24,567 units vs. 24,693 units
▼ 6% Ford, 109,939 units vs. 116,734 units
▼ 7% Nissan, 55,393 units vs. 59,565 units
▼ 13% Toyota, 126,015 units vs. 144,260 units
▼ 13% Mercedes, 17,799 units vs. 20,557 units
▼ 20% Honda, 77,229 units vs. 96,626 units
▼ 42% Chrysler, 62,197 units vs. 107,349 units
▼ 45% GM, 156,189 units vs. 282,535 units
The seasonally adjusted annual selling rate (SAAR) for the U.S. auto industry in September was 9.4 million units compared with August’s 14.2 million unit selling rate and last September’s rate of 12.8 million units.
