“Honey, can you pick up fifty pounds of rice, a gallon of peanut butter and a Mitsubishi Outlander with a sunroof and a rear-seat DVD?”
Automotive News reports, “Mitsubishi Motors North America is offering 0 percent financing or reduced-price leases on several 2009 and 2010 models through the Sam’s Club Auto Buying Program.” The discounts will be available through February 1, and included “0 percent for 60 months on the 2009 Eclipse, Eclipse Spyder, Lancer and Outlander and the 2010 Galant and Endeavor.”
Special lease terms will also be available to Sam’s Club members. AN explains, “Two of Mitsubishi’s newest models, the 2010 Lancer Sportback and 2010 Outlander crossover, will be offered through a low-lease plan but not the 0 percent financing. For example, Sam’s Club will market the Outlander at $226 a month for 48 months, with $1,999 down.”
Automakers rarely offer incentives tied to specific retailers, but Autoblog comments, “With Sam's Club's 500 stores and over 40 million members, this could be a pretty good program for the struggling Mitsubishi.” The exclusive deals “could well be better than the offers you'll get at your Mitsubishi dealer.”
