(Madison, IL) -- The owners of Gateway International Speedway say they won't look for sanctioning to hold races next year. Dover Motorsports Inc. president and CEO Denis McGlynn said the company could look to sell the track.
Gateway hosted the Missouri-Illinois Dodge Dealers 250 two weeks ago on the Nationwide Series, and will host the Gateway 250 on October 23rd. It was also the site of the CampingWorld.com 200 of the Camping World Truck Series on July 17th.
Dover vice president and general manager Terry Harmeson said they were committed to finishing out the season with the October race. That will be Danica Patrick's first race at the track.
