OnStar gets 1st customer in China

OnStar gets 1st customer in China

General Motors' OnStar communications service has its first customer in China. Lu Jianping from Yangzhou received the OnStar service when he picked up his new Cadillac Seville SLS on Dec. 20.

Shanghai OnStar Telematics Co. Ltd. is a joint venture among OnStar, Shanghai Automotive Industry Sales Co. Ltd. and Shanghai General Motors. Shanghai GM began rolling out the OnStar service on Cadillac vehicles and eventually plans tomake this service available on all its products in China.
