the PT Cruiser will continue into the 2009 model year!
Chrysler is slashing the number of possible option combinations to simplify manufacturing on an assembly line that also makes Dodge Journeys. The Touring will lose the turbo engine option, though it will remain available on Limited (180 hp). Air conditioning will be standard on all models; the Street Cruiser series is going away; and some lesser-used sound groups are being dropped. Despite the turbocharged engine on Limited, Chrysler expects most vehicles sold to be the base models.
