A question for professionals !!!!!

hi guys,

i just do a favour for a friend who has dodge caliber, the thing is i changed his guage cluster and problem is the different ODOMETER milage between the older and the new one,i thought the milage is saved in pcm but after changing that cluster i saw it's saved in the cluster ..

IS THERE A WAY TO FIX IT AND MAKE IT AS THE OLDER ONE WITH SAME MILEAGE???

ANY HELP WILL BE APPRICIATED

i just fixed the old one with some changing due to a failure in center lock and all that door locks bridged to a small module inside the cluster odometer !!!

i wonder why car makers do such complex things like that...

at last i've got some experience dealing with such problems
