Recall Alert: 2010 Nissan Frontier and Armada

Nissan is recalling certain models of the 2010 Frontier and Armada. Safety concerns about their seatings are to blame.
According to Consumer Reports, 174 Nissan Armadas are being recalled because
[t]he second-row center seat hinge was built out of specification and may prevent the rear center seatback from locking in an upright position, which could increase injury in the event of a crash.
Meanwhile, 951 models of the Nissan Frontier are being recalled for an issue stemming from its child-seat restraint system. The tether anchor may have been improperly welded to the bottom of the seat, explains Cars.com. As a result, the tether could give way in an accident and separate from the seat, increasing the risk of injury.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), dealers will inspect affected vehicles and make the necessary fixes free of charge. Owners may contact Nissan at 1-800-647-7261 or NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236.
