Volkswagen and Audi TDI Diesel Models Recalled

Volkswagen and Audi are recalling approximately 168,300 models that have a 2.0-liter TDI (Tubrocharged Direct Injection) engine, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The recall affects Audi A3 and Volkswagen Golf models from the 2010 to 2012 model years and Volkswagen Jetta and Jetta SportWagen models from the 2009 to 2012 model years.
USA Today explains that Volkswagen Group of America has recalled these vehicles because of “a high-pressure fuel line that might come loose. The defect could cause a leak and possibly a fire.” There have been no reports of accidents or injuries, but vehicle owners have submitted complaints.
The recall will begin in November, and Volkswagen dealers will install a new fuel injector line and vibration dampers on every fuel injection line for free.
