BMW’s Rolls-Royce Aims to Double Sales With Ghost
Sept. 16 -- Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd., the highest-priced brand of Bayerische Motoren Werke AG, is counting on its new Ghost model to help the division double sales next year as the luxury-car market gradually revives.
The Ghost, priced at 230,000 euros ( $338,000), may enable Rolls-Royce to deliver as many as 2,500 cars as soon as 2010 compared with a record 1,212 vehicles last year, Chief Executive Officer Tom Purves said in an interview yesterday at the Frankfurt Motor Show, where the model is being presented.
