Spencer Stuart to search for new GM CEO

General Motors Co. chose Spencer Stuart, the firm that helped recruit new directors this year, to conduct a search for a permanent CEO, a person familiar with the process told the Detroit Free Press.
Chairman Ed Whitacre picked Spencer Stuart by the time he accepted the resignation of Fritz Henderson last week, and GM turned away inquiries from other search firms, according to the person who asked not to be identified the story said. (Detroit Free Press)
