How much hp

Hi guys!
Anyone know how much hp/torque the 4.0liter (transmission too) can handle before replace all internal parts (forged piston, etc)?

There have any performance (prefer raised torque instead hp) parts on the market?

Thanks

Not that I really can show you but the Dodge Nitro with the 4.0 is over-engineered (engine, transmission and rear-end) unlike the 3.7 engine and drive train). So are you thinking about adding what? Nitrous oxide (N2O)? Sure the 4X4 Transfer Case would be a weak part, otherwise maybe the drive shaft. What are your plans?

4.0-liter SOHC V-6
The performance-oriented, 4.0-liter single-overhead-cam (SOHC) V-6 engine that is standard on the Dodge Nitro R/T model is designed to provide the power and torque required to make the vehicle a leader in the mid-size SUV segment. The engine delivers 260 hp (194 kW) @ 6,000 rpm and 265 lb.-ft. (359 N•m) of torque @ 4,200 rpm. The 4.0-liter SOHC V-6 engine provides more power and torque than the 3.5-liter engine on which it is based with an emphasis on low- and mid-range operation to meet the needs of the day-to-day driver.

2007 Dodge Nitro 5.7L HEMI

One Wet Dream

The annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) trade show has witnessed the debut of a number of cutting-edge vehicles from Chrysler Group’s SkunkWerks team in the past few years. This year will be no different, as Mopar® and the SkunkWerks team will debut new custom vehicles at SEMA.

This Dodge Nitro rolls on custom 22-inch Alcoa rims with 14-inch Brembos behind them. With custom body panels including carbon fiber hood, front and rear fascias are covered in a one-of-a-kind blackberry pearl paint accented by the custom purple rain glass supplied by Solutia.

But this Nitro isn’t just about looks. The team stuffed a Mopar Performance 5.7L HEMI under the hood. Gear slamming is done through a Tremec 5-speed transmission via a Hurst pistol grip.

The interior continues the no-nonsense approach with four Viper buckets wrapped in black carbon fiber leather by Katzkin.

Sure to turn heads – leaving lots of long black strips on the pavement.

Builders: DaimlerChrysler Dealer Technical Operations and Vehicle Build Shops
5.7L HEMI Crate Engine by Mopar
360 horsepower @ 5,400 rpm and 360 lbs.-ft. of torque @ 4,200 rpm

(About $20K for the truck, $5k for the rims and tires, $2K for the brakes, another 2 for the seats, and around $10k for the motor, throw in some labor, talking about $50K and then you take it out on the road. So I would say you could buy it anywhere, building it, that is another story.)

Top Speed of Nitro?

HIGH-SPEED CHASE
Chase reaches 130 mph before crash in Wallisville

Tuesday, September 26, 2017

WALLISVILLE, Texas (KTRK) --
Authorities are trying to figure out why a driver eluded troopers during a routine traffic stop, traveling at speeds of up to 130 mph.

DPS troopers were trying to stop a Dodge Nitro for an equipment violation in the area of the East Freeway and Waco Street at around 1:40 a.m. Tuesday.

The Dodge SUV led troopers to the East Beltway 8 at the Wallisville exit. The vehicle crashed into a brick wall of an apartment complex ending the chase.

The driver was taken to the hospital with a broken leg from the crash.

Authorities have not immediately said what charges the driver will face.
