Chrysler prescribes Dr. Beasley’s for Viper and Hellcat
April 01, 2015
CHICAGO — In its corporate service bulletins, Chrysler recommends Dr. Beasley’s Matte Finish Detailing Products for the 2014 SRT Viper and 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, according to a press release.
The bulletins say the company’s matte finish is “different from other automotive paints and need(s) special care to maintain their appearance,” noted the release.
Traditional gloss paints reflect light, stated the release, while matte finishes defuse it, giving off a flat appearance.
“The Viper and Hellcat Service Bulletins have a long list of ‘do nots’ that include practically every product or technique ever recommended for traditional gloss paint with a clear coat,” said Dr. Beasley’s Director of Operations Andrew Donovan, in the release. “Traditional exterior products contain glossing agents and light fillers to produce a shine. Since matte finishes go for a different look, you need to use the proper products.”
Dr. Beasley’s manufactures products for the high-end automotive detailing market, reported the release. Its products are environmentally friendly and biodegradable.
