Question How to remove plastic sleeve on hand brake lever

An annoying rattle is present in the hand brake lever of my 2007 Dodge Nitro R/T.

I want to replace with a custom handle like this

I think the rattle is caused by a spring that is loose in the handle. When driving, I tend to apply a bit of pressure on it to quiet the rattle which is driving me nuts.

Does anyone know ho to remove the handle itself which I think would give me access to the spring or would I have to replace the whole hand brake lever?
