newbie, need some advice please

Hi Guys. I have just got myself a 2.8 crd auto, I would like to give her an oil change asap but I am not sure what oil to use or if I have a dpf?? I now with fords that if dpf is fitted they have a pat fluid tank, is this the same for the Nitro? is there an easy way of telling?
I have some oil low saps for pd engines I think its 5w 30 fully synthetic, its expensive stuff but I know the pd engines need a good oil so I'm wondering if this would be ok? but obviously if I dont have a dpf then my handbook states 0w-40 so I will need this?
is the capacity 7 litres with filter change?
My heater isn't blowing hot, is there a common issue that these have that I could try?
when the cambelt is done (mine is over due and have no record of it done) does the water pump need doing as well?
Where can I get parts down here on the south coast? is there anyone in my area who knows these trucks well that can do work for a reasonable price etc, I try and do stuff myself but I'm disabled so have limits!!
Any help would be great, the oil is my main priority I can probably do this myself but want to know what to put in it, my truck is an 08 reg with 102k on the clock,
Thanks all,

Thanks, I know its a shame you didn't get the diesel over there, our petrol prices are so high that diesel is the only choice here,
what I really need to know is how to find if it has a DPF (diesel particulate filter) as this determines the oil, but I have no idea where to look!!
cheers
