Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Spied

Jul 06, 2016

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk has been caught totally undisguised.

Next year, Jeep will release its new high-performance model, which will get its power from the 707-horsepower Hellcat engine. An all-new front fascia has been employed for this model which includes more air intakes to help the big supercharged 6.2-liter V8 stay cool. The lower central grille gets a new air slit inside the chin spoiler, while the upper bumper gets three new air intake slits as well.

Assuming it gets the same 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque rating as the other Hellcat-powered vehicles, the Trackawk will have an additional 130 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque compared to today’s SRT model.

For style, new LED strips have been stuck inside the new outer air intakes, though overall the Trackhawk doesn’t differ too much from the current Grand Cherokee SRT model.

This will be the first time that the Hellcat is paired with an all-wheel drive system, and despite it being heavier, it is said to be the fastest accelerating Hellcat-powered model in FCA’s lineup, outgunning both the Challenger and Charger. Running from 0 to 60 mph should take less than four seconds.
