2014 Dodge Challenger Rallye Redline

2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic

2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Redline

With record sales last year, including the best sales months since the reintroduction of the Challenger in 2008, the Dodge brand’s performance icon continues to deliver exactly what muscle car enthusiasts want – a powerful and efficient engine lineup, iconic muscle-car design with numerous personalization packages and now the availability of the performance suspension and brake systems across all models – all executed with quality and precision.

Redline style provides Challenger with a contemporary muscle-car appearance

For the 2014 Dodge Challenger lineup, the Rallye Redline and R/T Redline variants add even more attitude and style with a right-from-the-factory custom look to the brand’s iconic coupe.

Challenger Rallye Redline
Based on the 2014 Dodge Challenger SXT Plus, the Challenger Rallye Redline model adds even more ‘bad boy’ attitude and head-turning style to the brand’s iconic coupe. Flanking the center of the Dodge Challenger Rallye Redline’s performance hood scoops, roof and deck lid is its signature Redline Red stripe with two thin side stripes for added detail. A body-color deck-lid spoiler adds to the performance look, while continuing the Redline Red triple stripe pattern at the center. Filling the wheel wells, the Dodge Challenger Rallye Redline features 20-inch Black Chrome wheels with a Redline Red lip and inner backbone for a one-of-a-kind look. In addition, P245/45R20 performance tires with a performance suspension and brakes provide improved handling, while a 3.07 rear-axle ratio (up from 2.65) improves acceleration performance.

Challenger R/T Redline
Based on the 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T – America’s most affordable V-8 muscle car – or R/T Plus, the new Challenger R/T Redline adds even more attitude and style with a right-from-the-factory custom look. Following Dodge Challenger’s signature A-line bodyside character line, an all-new two-color Redline Red and Graphite stripe runs from behind the front wheel arches to the tail. For a distinctive look, the rear-quarter section of the stripe features the “Redline” name in Red over Graphite color scheme. The R/T Redline also features a body-color grille surround and unique 20-inch Black Chrome wheels with a Redline Red lip and inner backbone.

Dodge Challenger Redline models feature a Dark Slate Gray interior with Dark Slate Gray (R/T) performance seats in cloth or premium Nappa leather performance seats in Radar Red or Dark Slate Gray (Rallye Redline and R/T Plus). Automatic transmission models also feature die-cast steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, sport mode, bright pedals, a Mopar T-Handle shifter and remote start.

More performance and value: Super Sport and Sinister Super Sport Groups
In addition to offering the Challenger R/T – the most affordable V-8 muscle car in America, with a U.S. manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) starting at $30,495 – the Dodge brand is going one step further for 2014 offering more bang-for-the-buck with the addition of the Super Sport and Sinister Super Sport Groups on the entry-level 305 horsepower Challenger SXT model.

The Super Sport Group includes larger and wider 20 x 8.0-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels with stickier P245/45R20 all-season performance tires, a quicker 3.07 rear-axle ratio, die-cast steering- wheel mounted paddle shifters, sport mode, performance steering, brakes and suspension and a rear body-color spoiler. And for those who like the Dodge brand’s signature “blacked out” look, the Sinister Super Sport Group utilizes the same hardware, but with 20 x 8.0-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels with matching center caps.

Additionally, Dodge Challenger SXT Plus, Rallye Redline and R/T models now include the availability of projector-beam high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps for improved night-time visibility and a whiter illumination color for a more technical look.

High-impact heritage hues keep it hot
Like all Dodge muscle cars, the Challenger is known for rocking some of the most recognizable paint colors in the automotive world. The 2014 model year continues this tradition by bringing TorRed and Plum Crazy heritage paint hues back into production. In addition, Header Orange and Redline 3 Coat return and join Jazz Blue, and two new Tri-coats: Ivory Tri-coat and Phantom Black Tri-coat Pearl.

Track-proven Challenger R/T Blacktop
The 2014 Challenger R/T Blacktop, available on the Challenger R/T – America’s most affordable V-8 muscle car – and R/T Plus, adds sinister style to the Dodge brand’s iconic muscle car. Available in Pitch Black, Granite Crystal or Billet Silver Metallic, the Dodge Challenger R/T Blacktop model includes Gloss Black 20-inch aluminum wheels with Gloss Black center caps, Gloss Black grille surround, Gloss Black fuel door and a new matte graphite body stripe with red edge accents running from the front to rear fascia, creating a truly one-of-a-kind appearance

Powering the Dodge Challenger R/T Blacktop is the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8 engine with cold-air induction delivering up to 375 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque, and it’s mated to a track-proven Tremec six-speed manual transmission (or available five-speed automatic).

In addition to its performance-tuned suspension, disc brakes and steering calibration, the Dodge Challenger R/T Blacktop also includes the Super Track Pak, with high-performance-steering gear, brake linings and monotube-shock absorbers, P245/45R20 Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car three-season tires and three-mode electronic stability control (ESC) with “full off” mode. All-season tires are available at no extra charge. The Dodge Challenger Blacktop Package is available for a U.S. MSRP of only $1,995.

Award-winning powertrain lineup
The Dodge Challenger SXT, SXT Plus and Rallye Redline model’s standard award-winning 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine features a cold-air induction system and dual exhausts from the headers back to the exhaust tips for maximum output. The result is 305 track-ready horsepower at 6,350 rpm and a responsive 268 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,800 rpm. The engine’s torque exceeds 90 percent of its peak value from 1,800 to 6,400 rpm, which provides outstanding drivability and responsiveness. Thanks to its all-aluminum design, the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine provides the Dodge Challenger with a 52 / 48 front-to-rear weight distribution for improved balance and handling.

Enabling even more spirited driving with its five-speed Auto Stick transmission are die-cast zinc steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters and Sport Mode included on Challenger Rallye Redline and packaged with the Super Sport Group and Sinister Super Sport Groups on Dodge Challenger SXT and SXT Plus. Race-inspired with precision feel, these steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters are ergonomically located behind the sporty thick-rimmed three-spoke Dodge steering wheel for maximum control.

For the performance enthusiast, the 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T, R/T Plus and R/T Classic models feature the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine, which delivers up to 375 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque and gets up to 25 miles per gallon (mpg) (with automatic transmission). When paired with the highly refined Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission, the Dodge Challenger R/T delivers smooth shifts, while delivering even more power through unique performance-tuned dual exhaust and under-floor mufflers with low-restriction bottle resonators. The result: 0-60 mph runs in the mid-5-second range and a sinister exhaust growl for the cars left in its rearview mirror – a trademark of the original Challenger HEMI from more than 44-years ago.

The Dodge Challenger R/T, R/T Plus and R/T Classic models with optional five-speed automatic transmission produce 372 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque and include innovative Fuel Saver Technology to seamlessly transition to high-fuel-economy four-cylinder mode when less power is needed and V-8 mode when more power is in demand. For even more control, steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters and Sport Mode are included.

More than 45 safety and security features
The 2014 Dodge Challenger features more than 45 safety and security features, including the addition of ParkSense rear park assist system standard on Challenger SXT Plus, Rallye Redline and R/T models.

Dodge Challenger also features standard ESC, with Chrysler Group’s proprietary Ready Alert Braking and Rain Brake Support safety features to improve overall vehicle handling and performance both on and off the track. In addition, standard front-row reactive head restraints, standard full-length side-curtain air bags and standard front seat-mounted side-thorax air bags offer enhanced occupant protection to passengers in the event of a collision.

Easy-to-use Uconnect systems
The innovative Uconnect 430, and 730N radios integrate a 6.5-inch touchscreen display with a 20 to 28 GB hard drive (depending on model) for additional storage. Uconnect media centers also offer a single navigation option with clean and crisp graphics, including: premium GPS Navigation with SiriusXM Traffic, for only $400 MSRP over the Uconnect 430. The 730N features SiriusXM Travel Link, providing real-time weather, fuel prices and more while on the go. In addition, Uconnect radios enable Dodge Challenger passengers to create a personalized in-vehicle media experience with its available USB port with iPod control, auxiliary jack for MP3 player input, DVD playback (in Park) and SiriusXM Radio. For 2014, the 6.5-inch touchscreen is now a $695 MSRP stand-alone option.

Segment-exclusive cruising for up to five adults
To make long cruises more comfortable, the 2014 Dodge Challenger features highly cushioned and comfortably contoured seating, while maintaining large bolsters to hold passengers in place during performance driving.

Dodge Challenger offers exceptional rear seating for a two-door coupe, achieving best-in-class rear headroom (37.4 inches) and legroom (32.6 inches) compared with its competition. With class-exclusive seating for five, coupled with best-in-class cargo space (16.2 cu. ft.), the Dodge Challenger is the segment’s best day-to-day pony-car choice, offering maximum comfort and functionality to go with its legendary iconic styling and sought-after performance.

2014 Dodge Challenger Sees Price Hikes For Premium Models

02/13/2014

Pricing for the 2014 Dodge Challenger is unchanged from the previous year’s model at $27,290, including a $995 destination fee, but if you’re interested in the mid-range R/T or high-performance SRT you’re going to have to pay a little extra in 2014.

Pricing for the 2014 Challenger R/T now starts from $31,490 while the 2014 Challenger SRT’s pricing starts from $46,680. As Edmunds points out, that’s up $500 and $490 respectively on pricing for the corresponding 2013 versions. All prices include the aforementioned destination charge.

There are few changes for the 2014 model year, though a launch control system is now standard on Challenger SRT regardless of the transmission. In addition, Dodge is offering up a number of special models and packages this year. They include the Mopar ’14 Challenger, the 100th Anniversary Edition Challenger, and new Scat Pack and Shaker packages.

Dodge is planning some much more substantial updates for the Challenger in 2015. In addition to some visual updates to the exterior, the 2015 Challenger is also expected to receive a new supercharged HEMI V-8 in its SRT trim.

Exclamation Dodge Challenger R/T Shakers

New 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker On its Way to Dealerships – Dealers Order 2,000 Cars in Just Four Days

Dodge received 2,000 dealer orders – its entire 2014 model year production run – for the Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker in just four days
With its functional “Shaker” hood and unmistakable Dodge muscle-car cues, the new 2014 Challenger R/T Shaker marks the return of one of the brand’s most coveted performance options
Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker features the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8 engine with unique hood and intake design combined with a functional exposed-element cold-air intake system
New Dodge Challenger R/T Shakers arriving at Dodge dealerships now

February 26, 2014 , Auburn Hills, Mich. -

The new Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker models with their functional throwback “Shaker” hoods are in hot demand as they start making their way to Dodge dealers across the country.

After it was initially introduced at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas in November, Dodge dealers ordered the entire production run for the 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker in just four days. Dodge received 2,000 dealer orders from January 7 through January 10 after orders were opened.

“Based on this strong initial demand, it’s clear that our customers are excited about the return of the legendary Shaker model, which was engineered for enthusiasts who asked for even more attitude and a dose of muscle car heritage,” said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO of the Dodge Brand. “The 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8 engine with the unique hood and intake design makes this performance car an instant classic – much like the original 1970 Challenger R/T with the Shaker hood.”

The new 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Shakers are shipping out of the Brampton (Ont.) Assembly Plant and starting to arrive at Dodge dealerships now. Pricing for this very well-equipped model starts at just $36,995 U.S. MSRP ($37,495 with the custom one-of-a-kind hood-to-tail stripes), representing a walk of only $2,500 from the Challenger R/T Classic for all of the unique features of this limited production model.

The new Challenger R/T Shaker is available in Billet Silver Metallic, Bright White, Pitch Black, Plum Crazy, TorRed and vibrant Header Orange.

2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker
Injecting a fresh shot of heritage into the Challenger lineup, the new 2014 R/T Shaker model features unique throwback muscle-car cues that link directly to Dodge brand’s performance legacy.

As the model name suggests, the legendary “cold-air grabbing” Shaker not only looks good with its Satin Black center-mounted hood scoop, snorkeling up from the engine compartment, it also directs cooler air back into the HEMI® V-8 engine. And like the original 1970 Challenger R/T with the Shaker hood, the new 2014 model continues the Dodge tradition of an engine-mounted hood scoop that “shakes” with the powertrain’s movement.

Designed for muscle-car buffs who can’t help but tinker with their toys, the Challenger R/T Shaker features the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine producing over 400 lb.-ft. of torque, with a functional Shaker hood with Mopar cold-air intake, conical air filter and optimized air box for improved airflow and performance. Lift the hood and enthusiasts will also be treated to an under-hood “Shaker” badge – reminiscent of the 1970s original.

In addition to its driver-selectable sport-mode powertrain calibration, performance-tuned suspension, four-wheel disc brakes and steering calibration, the Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker includes the Super Track Pak, with high-performance steering gear, brake linings and monotube shock absorbers, P245/45R20 Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car three-season tires and three-mode electronic stability control (ESC) with “full off” mode. All-season performance tires are available at no extra charge.

The new engine setup provides a new factory-designed foundation to maximize three all-new Dodge “Scat Packages,” enabling customers to unleash even more power from their Challenger R/T Shaker.

For a dynamically striking look, a new “Shaker style” Satin Black hood, roof and deck-lid stripe graphics visually translate this Dodge Challenger model’s name, while a Satin Black deck-lid spoiler provides the added downforce needed for 155 mph max-speed runs. For contrast, a body-color grille surround and Gloss Black fuel-filler door are added, while all-new 20 x 8-inch polished-face aluminum wheels with black pockets and a satin “matte” clear coat feature a sculptured five-spoke design. For added detail, “Shaker” badges flank both sides of the hood scoop, while “HEMI” fender badges and a new “Challenger” grille badge in classic script completes the iconic exterior.

On the inside, the new Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker features a unique three-spoke flat-bottom leather-wrapped performance steering wheel with black accent finish and integrated vehicle controls. Corresponding with the steering wheel is a unique “K-Black” painted instrument panel and center-console bezel for a discrete look. Matching the “Shaker” numbered dash plaque are door bolsters with graduated accent stitching that mirrors the logo’s artistic reverberation. High-performance front seats with aggressive bolsters in premium Nappa Leather in Dark Slate Gray with Sepia accent stitching or Radar Red with Radar Red stitching, feature the “Shaker” logo embroidered on the seat back, along with unique graduated horizontal plow-throughs. For additional detail, the center console armrest is also leather wrapped and finished with accent thread. The aluminum pistol-grip shifter mated to a track-proven Tremec six-speed manual transmission is standard, while a black leather-wrapped shift-knob and die-cast paddle shifters on the back of the steering wheel are available for those who opt for the performance-tuned five-speed automatic.

Adding to the customized interior environment, with one press of the start button, the Shaker logo appears on the available 6.5-inch Uconnect touchscreen.

Gone in a Flash: Mopar ’14 Dodge Challenger is Sold Out

Gone in a Flash: Mopar ’14 Dodge Challenger is Sold Out

Orders have been placed for all 100 limited-edition Mopar ’14 Dodge Challenger vehicles
Mopar maintains its recent string of success in adding Mopar customization to production versions of Chrysler Group LLC vehicles
With the Mopar ’14 sold out, Dodge Challenger owners still can create their own personalized version through in Mopar’s vast catalog of parts and accessories

April 2, 2014 , Auburn Hills, Mich. -

If you blinked, you missed it. The limited-edition Mopar ’14 Challenger, the latest Chrysler Group LLC vehicle to come straight from the factory already upgraded with Mopar products, has sold out in just the first day after being made available to dealers.

The Mopar ’14 Challenger is the most recent limited-edition vehicle offered by the brand, continuing the success of the Mopar ’10 Challenger, Mopar ’11 Charger, Mopar ’12 300 and Mopar ’13 Dart in demonstrating how owners can personalize their rides with Mopar products — even before driving away from the dealership. With only 100 built, the Mopar ’14 Challenger is the rarest limited-production Dodge Challenger offered to date.

“The very high demand for the Mopar ’14 Challenger spotlights the success of our limited-edition, Mopar-modified vehicles, and also clearly demonstrates the passion our customers have for personalizing their rides,” said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group’s service, parts and customer-care brand. “Whether during or after the ordering process, Mopar is there to help put a personal touch on customers’ rides.”

“The Mopar ’14 Challenger shows that when combining a legendary car like the Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker and making it even more exclusive, we create collectible performance machines unlike anything else on the road,” said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO of Dodge Brand. “From the Mopar ’14 Challenger to the new Scat Pack performance stage kits available on Challenger, Charger and Dart, you can continue to expect great things when Dodge and Mopar team up.”

Many unique features contributed to the Mopar ’14 Challenger’s quick sellout, including two exterior color options and three Mopar Blue stripe options. A 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8 engine also rumbles beneath the Satin Black Shaker hood scoop, while exterior design elements include 20 x 8-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels with Mopar center caps, a unique Black Vapor grille surround, a black fuel-filler door, a Satin Black deck-lid spoiler with Gloss Black “Mopar Design” badge and “Mopar” quarter-glass decals.

The interior is upgraded with premium leather seats featuring Mopar Blue accent thread and Mopar Omega M logos embroidered on the seat backs. Other unique touches for the limited-edition ride include a serialized instrument panel plaque, “Mopar” branded key fobs, a custom-crafted personalized owner’s kit with a Mopar ’14 brochure and much, much more.

Customers ordering the Mopar ’14 showed they still wanted the rarest limited production Dodge Challenger offered to date with additional customization. Of the 100 orders placed on the first day, 52 customers chose the Pitch Black exterior paint version, while 48 opted for the newly offered Bright White option. The traditional Shaker stripe proved to be the most popular graphic chosen for their ride, followed by the bodyside decal and then the rocker stripe. Top Custom Shop options chosen were hood pins, Mopar Performance badges, quad exhaust tips and the Challenger monogrammed car cover. The top-ordered Mopar Performance part was the Cat-back exhaust to complement the Shaker intake.

Although all 100 Mopar ’14 Challenger vehicles have been spoken for, enthusiasts can still build their own similarly personalized and unique, one-of-one Dodge Challenger.

Customers taking delivery of a new Dodge Challenger can have their ride personalized in a similar way to the sold out version right at their local dealership. Existing owners who have their own Challenger pride and joy at home also can have their vehicle updated with Mopar parts and accessories to make it similar to the sold out version.

Many of the up-fitted items for the Dodge Challenger are offered through Mopar’s vast catalog of parts and accessories available at Mopar.com or an authorized dealership. Among the products found on the Mopar ’14 that are available for customization are:

Mopar short-throw shifter
Mopar cat-back exhaust
