June 27, 2019 , Auburn Hills, Mich. -

The world-renowned Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado is all about challenges. Drivers must negotiate 156 turns over 12.4 miles – a route that puts a premium on handling and top-notch braking. The air is thin at the 9,390-foot start and gets thinner on the climb to the finish line at 14,115 feet, affecting the engine’s output and the driver’s stamina.

In short, it’s a job for an SRT Hellcat – specifically, a race-prepped, concept machine based on the just-announced 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody. The concept wears distinctivered/black/gray/white SRT livery created by the FCA US Product Design Office and first previewed at SpringFest 14 in April.

"When you look at a Charger, you of course think 'muscle car,' but maybe not ‘Pike's Peak contender,'" said Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Cars – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA - North America. “So we did what we do; we threw big horsepower, big rubber and big brakes at it. It's just that easy to make a Dodge race ready. And the best part, most of what we did is available off the showroom floor in the new 2020 Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody."

Dodge//SRT engineers teamed with Wesley Motorsports to make changes to the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody production specs, tailoring the sedan for the unique, grueling rigors of Pikes Peak:

Under the concept’s hood is the specially tuned supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® V-8 engine
A race exhaust and customized engine calibration are particularly important, enabling this special race-prepped Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody to maintain power at the upper altitudes of the Pikes Peak run
Bilstein shock absorbers and production SRT suspension tuning are well-suited for the intense high-speed conditions
Toyo Proxes RR DOT Competition Tires on 20-inch by 11-inch production wheels, Pagid RST 1 racing brake pads and high-temperature brake fluid provide the grip and sustained stopping power for the extreme mountainous race conditions seen at Pike’s Peak
For driver safety under all racing circumstances, the concept is equipped with an FIA-spec roll cage, racing seat and a fuel cell replacing the production fuel tank

While the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody for Pikes Peak is a one-off concept, it carries much of the stock equipment used for the production version of the 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody, including:

Six-piston Brembo brake calipers for the front wheels and four-piston Brembo calipers for the rear
Crisp-shifting TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission with SRT-developed high-performance calibration

The Pikes Peak Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody concept even carries an air conditioning compressor, standard equipment on its production counterpart, to maintain its production-car credibility for the competition.

Award-winning driver Randy Pobst, a three-time “Race to the Clouds” veteran and resident expert test driver for Motor Trend magazine, will be in the driver’s seat of this special Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody concept, race-prepped by Wesley Motorsports of Lansing, Michigan. The 97th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is set for Sunday, June 30. The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody concept will compete in the Exhibition Class.

“I’m thrilled to run Pikes Peak in a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody concept race car," said professional race car driver Randy Pobst. “The driving challenge is like no other on Earth. This specially prepared Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody concept has the three ‘must haves’ for this hill climb: lots of horsepower and torque to hit 120 mph plus on the sweepers; great handling with the wider wheels and tires, because there is absolutely no room for mistakes on a mountain road; and the superb brakes to haul that puppy down for 20-mph hairpin turns.”

The Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody concept joins a race-prepped Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody at this year’s event. This will be the Challenger’s second year up the mountain in the Time Attack 1 class. Kevin Wesley will be behind the wheel.

This will be the third year that Wesley Motorsports has campaigned a modern, specially prepared Dodge//SRT high-performance vehicle at Pikes Peak:

2016: Viper ACR sets the Class TA2 qualifying record; finished second on race day
2018: Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody qualified fifth in Class TA1. Finished 11th due to mechanical issues

Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody Race Concept based on new production model
Dodge is literally expanding its high-performance Charger models for 2020, adding a Widebody package to America’s only four-door muscle car.

Designed and engineered to push the boundaries of what a four-door family sedan can be, the 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody is powered by the proven supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI Hellcat V-8 engine, which delivers best-in-class 707 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to a standard TorqueFlite 8HP90 eight-speed automatic transmission. With a top speed of 196 mph, the Charger SRT Hellcat maintains its claim as the most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan in the world.

It is also the quickest and best-handling production Charger SRT Hellcat ever, as the 3.5-inch wider body makes room for new 20-inch by 11-inch Carbon Black forged wheels riding on wider, stickier Pirelli 305/35ZR20 tires.

SRT engineers took this wider, stickier beast to the track to see what it can do. The result: improved performance on the street, strip and road course. The 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody runs 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds, has quarter-mile elapsed time (ET) in 10.96 seconds and pulls .96 g on the skid pad. It also delivers a road course lap time 2.1 seconds faster than the vehicle it replaces after one lap of a 2.1-mile track. That is equal to 13 car lengths per lap.

About Dodge//SRT

Its 797-horsepower supercharged HEMI® high-output engine makes it the most powerful, quickest and fastest muscle car, reaching 0-60 miles per hour (mph) in 3.4 seconds, and the fastest GT production car with a ¼-mile elapsed time (ET) of 10.8 seconds at 131 mph. It also reaches a new top speed of 203 mph.

Joining the Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye is the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, with its more powerful 717-horsepower engine, and the Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody, featuring fender flares from the SRT Hellcat Widebody, which add 3.5 inches of width to the 485-horsepower Scat Pack’s standard body. June 27, 2019 , Auburn Hills, Mich. -

Dodge is literally expanding its high-performance Charger models for 2020, adding a Widebody Package to America’s only four-door muscle car.

Powered by the proven supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® Hellcat V-8 engine, the 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody boasts a best-in-class 707 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque and delivers a top speed of 196 miles per hour (mph), maintaining its reign as the most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan in the world.

The Widebody Package, standard on Charger SRT Hellcat and available on Charger Scat Pack, includes new integrated fender flares that add 3.5 inches of body width, creating an even more aggressive, planted stance. The flares make room for the wider 20-inch by 11-inch wheels and Pirelli 305/35ZR20 tires, Brembo six-piston front calipers with two-piece front brake rotors and unique suspension tuning with Bilstein three-mode adaptive damping, all combining to deliver improved performance on the street, strip and road course.

"People say, 'no one wants cars anymore.' I would tell you that the 40,000 people who bought a Dodge Charger so far this year would probably agree, because to them, the Charger isn’t just a car. The Charger’s reach extends beyond body-style practicalities and it can’t be defined by average industry shifts,” said Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Cars – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America. "Can you buy a vehicle that is dollar for dollar more practical than a Charger Widebody? Absolutely, but there are also more than 1,000 flavors of ice cream and vanilla is only one of them. If the 'average' person will own six cars in their lifetime, our cars need to connect so strongly that people can't help, but turn around and take a second look before walking away."

Dealers will be able to order 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody and Scat Pack Widebody models this fall. The new Charger Widebody models will start arriving in Dodge//SRT dealerships in early 2020.

Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody Continues Reign as Most Powerful and Fastest Mass-produced Sedan in the World
Designed and engineered to push the boundaries of what a four-door family sedan can be, the 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody is powered by the proven supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI Hellcat V-8 engine, which delivers a best-in-class 707 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to a standard TorqueFlite 8HP90 eight-speed automatic transmission. With a top speed of 196 miles per hour (mph), the Charger SRT Hellcat maintains its claim as the most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan in the world.

The performance improvements start with a 3.5-inch wider body, which makes room for new 20-inch by 11-inch Carbon Black forged wheels riding on wider, stickier Pirelli 305/35ZR20 tires. The Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody also features an SRT-tuned Bilstein three-mode adaptive damping competition suspension, new electric power steering (EPS), stiffer springs, larger sway bars, retuned shocks, several race-inspired technologies and Brembo brakes, all designed to deliver performance numbers never before seen on a Charger.

For the first time ever, Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody now features standard EPS with selectable steering tuning to better manage increased grip, both improving handling performance and delivering better steering feel and ease of turning efforts at parking lot speeds.

With EPS and standard SRT Drive Modes accessed via the 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen, drivers can tailor their experience by controlling horsepower, transmission shift speeds, steering, paddle shifters, traction and suspension settings
SRT Drive Modes offer selectable settings for Street (Auto), Sport and Track, while the Custom setting allows the driver to select individual preferences

Additional upgrades designed to improve handling include:

Increased front spring rates – 32 percent stiffer than previous model
Larger sway bars – expanding from 32 mm to 34 mm in front and from 19 mm to 22 mm in the rear
Retuned shocks with revised valving to complement stiffer springs

Four race-inspired technologies that come standard for 2020 also bolster performance:

Race Cooldown keeps cooling the supercharger/charge air cooler after the engine is shut off by running the intercooler pump and radiator fan
Line Lock engages the front brakes to hold the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody stationary, but leaves the rear wheels free for a burnout to heat up and clean the rear tires
Launch Control, easily accessed from a switch on the dashboard, manages tire slip while launching the vehicle to allow the driver to achieve consistent straight-line acceleration
Launch Assist uses wheel speed sensors to watch for driveline-damaging wheel hop at launch and, in milliseconds, modifies the engine torque to regain full grip

Not only does Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody go fast, it also stops shorter than the vehicle it replaces. For outstanding heat management and longevity, the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody features standard 15.4-inch Brembo two-piece front brake rotors with six-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers. Stopping distance is four feet shorter (107 feet) from 60-0 mph.

SRT engineers took this wider, stickier beast to the track to see what it can do. The result: improved performance on the street, strip and road course and the quickest and best-handling production Charger SRT Hellcat ever. The 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody runs 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds, has a quarter-mile elapsed time (ET) in 10.96 seconds and pulls .96 g on the skidpad. It also delivers a road course lap time 2.1 seconds faster than the vehicle it replaces after one lap of a 2.1-mile track. That is equal to 13 car lengths per lap.

Form Follows Function
Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody’s added 3.5 inches of width paired with its wider wheels and tires are unmistakably Dodge//SRT, creating an aggressive, planted stance unlike any of the other vanilla four-door sedans on the market.

New, wider wheels on Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody include:

Standard 20-inch by 11-inch forged split-five spoke with standard Low-gloss Carbon Black finish
Optional 20-inch by 11-inch “Warp Speed” deep dish, with Low-gloss Granite finish
Optional 20-inch by 11-inch Brass Monkey

Pirelli 305/35ZR20 all-season performance tires are standard; three-season tires are available.

Beyond its menacing stance, the newly designed front fascia on the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody includes a new mail-slot grille, providing the most direct route for cool air to travel into the radiator, to maintain ideal operating temperature even in the hottest conditions. New side sills connect the front and rear fascias to help amplify the integrated design. A new rear spoiler, unique to the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody, is designed to create aero balance with the new front-end design. New this year are two-piece Satin Chrome SRT Hellcat fender badges.

Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody Receives High-performance Interior Updates
The race-inspired interior of the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody features standard French live-stitch accents throughout the instrument panel and doors. Additional unique interior elements and soft-touch finishes refine the high-performance cabin, including:

Available new Carbon & Suede Package adds real carbon fiber accents to the instrument panel and console bezels and Dynamica suede headliner, sun visors and A-pillars
New SRT Hellcat instrument panel badge is unique for the 2020 model year with a black and red finish
From the driver’s seat:
Standard heated and ventilated Laguna leather front seats feature embossed Hellcat logo – available interior color combinations include Black, Black/Sepia or Black/Demonic Red
Heated, leather-wrapped SRT flat-bottom steering wheel with mounted controls and paddle shifters is standard or available in wrapped Alcantara
Fully electronic, performance-inspired shifter controls the standard TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission and gives the driver the look and feel of a traditional linkage shifter
Roomy center console storage compartment is designed to keep an abundance of personal items handy and within easy reach

2020 Dodge Charger Scat Pack Widebody Reaches Best Ever Levels of Performance
Following on the success of offering the Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody for the 2019 model year, Dodge is also making the Widebody Package available on the Charger Scat Pack for 2020.

“Since we first launched Scat Pack in 2014, the sales mix of our high-performance models has increased from four percent to more than 25 percent,” Kuniskis added. “Charger Scat Pack models deliver more muscle for the dollar than any car out there. Offering a Widebody Package on Charger Scat Pack gives us the opportunity to build on that momentum.”

This wider Scat Pack is powered by the 392-cubic-inch HEMI V-8 engine with the best-in-class naturally aspirated 485 horsepower mated to the TorqueFlite 8HP70 eight-speed transmission. It features its own upgraded specially tuned suspension with Bilstein three-mode adaptive damping, standard EPS with selectable steering tuning, and wider wheels and tires to reach unprecedented levels of lateral grip, acceleration and braking, delivering its best on-road and on-track performance levels ever.

Standard wheels on the Charger Scat Pack Widebody are 20-inch by 11-inch “Devil’s Rim” split-five spoke with Low-gloss Granite finish. Optional wheels are 20-inch by 11-inch finished in Carbon Black.

Pirelli 305/35ZR20 all-season performance tires are standard; three-season tires are available.

The superb stopping power of the Charger Scat Pack Widebody comes from the standard SRT-engineered Brembo braking system with two-piece 15.4-inch front brake rotors with six-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers. Stopping distance is 107 feet, three feet shorter than the non-Widebody Scat Pack from 60-0 mph.

Suspension upgrades for the 2020 Charger Scat Pack Widebody include:

Modified springs, sway bars and shocks
Increased front spring rates are 27 percent stiffer
Larger rear sway bar, expanding from 19 mm to 22 mm
Revised damper calibration to match suspension tuning revisions

Launch Control, Launch Assist and Line Lock features come standard on all Scat Pack models.

The 2020 Charger Scat Pack Widebody builds on the stellar attributes of the Scat Pack, improving street, strip and road course performance compared with the non-Widebody Charger Scat Pack. It delivers 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds, a quarter-mile ET in 12.4 seconds @ 111 mph, pulls .98 g lateral grip on the skidpad, brakes 60-0 in 107 feet and finishes 1.3 seconds faster on a 2.1-mile road course, which is equal to eight car lengths per lap.

Uconnect Technology Brings SRT Performance Pages, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to Charger
As America’s only four-door muscle car, the 2020 Dodge Charger is spacious with plenty of room for a family of five and loaded with high-tech features that are easily accessible through the available class-exclusive Uconnect 4C system.

SRT Performance Pages bring critical vehicle performance data to the driver’s fingertips, including real-time engine data, such as horsepower, torque, oil pressure and dyno graph; various vehicle dynamics measurements, including a g-force heat map, a wide variety of vehicle gauges and performance driving timers.

The Uconnect 4C system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard on the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody and all Scat Pack models, and includes an 8.4-inch touchscreen display that offers multi-touch gestures, vivid imagery, sharp graphics and support for smartphone integrations and features SRT Performance Pages. A 7-inch driver information digital cluster display gives instant information on performance, available navigation and plenty of vehicle stats, and is easily customizable with the steering wheel-mounted controls.

From optimized V-6 highway fuel economy to class-exclusive all-wheel-drive (AWD) capability, Dodge Charger is a performance sedan, a family sedan with attitude, a favorite amongst law enforcement and the only four-door muscle car available. Dodge is continuing to push the boundaries of performance, introducing the most powerful Charger ever – the 717-horsepower 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition – raising the performance bar even higher with the most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan in the world.

Fifty years ago, Dodge launched the infamous Dodge Charger Daytona model with its huge wing and massive nose specifically designed to dominate in NASCAR racing. The Daytona prototype was the first car to break 200 miles per hour (mph) average lap speed and set a record that stood for 17 years. Coveted by collectors ever since, only 501 copies of the 1969 model were produced – the minimum number required to qualify for use on the NASCAR circuit.

Today, Dodge salutes its high horsepower heritage with the new 717-horsepower 2020 Dodge Charger Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition. Its design, attitude and the limited-production numbers all pay tribute to the original record-setting Daytona. A unique “Daytona” decklid, rear-quarter decal with matching spoiler and Daytona-exclusive B5 Blue paint are throwbacks to the original. Like the legendary 1969 Daytona, production of the Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition is limited to 501 units.

“The Dodge brand continues to push the boundaries of performance with the most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan in the world, the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody,” said Tim Kuniskis, Global Head of Alfa Romeo and Head of Passenger Cars – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America. “Today, with the introduction of the limited-production Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody Daytona, we are both recognizing the Dodge brand’s performance heritage and staying true to our roots by offering high-performance, collectible vehicles that continue to defy the trends and deliver attainable performance that can’t be found anywhere else.”

Performance enthusiasts can check out the new 2020 Dodge Charger Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition this weekend during the annual Woodward Dream Cruise. Dodge will display the new Daytona Edition, along with the new 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody, the 797-horsepower 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye and much more, on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 50881 Woodward Ave., between Orchard Lake and Pike streets, in Pontiac, Michigan.

New 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition
Created in 1969 as a 501-unit, purpose-built production run to qualify for NASCAR racing, the Charger Daytona set records with its distinct aerodynamic styling and legendary HEMI® power. The new Charger Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition builds on this celebrated history by adding more performance to North America’s only four-door muscle sedan.

Building on this legacy, the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody is the most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan in the world, adding 3.5 inches of width with wider wheels and tires that are unmistakably Dodge//SRT, creating an aggressive, planted stance unlike any other four-door sedan on the market. The Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition ups the ante by increasing the shift points to 6,100 rpm in automatic mode, which yields a 10-horsepower boost from 707 to 717 exclusive to this model.

The Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition adds unique heritage appointments that give Dodge enthusiasts another way to display legendary Dodge performance attitude. The new 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition is available in four exterior paint colors – B5 Blue, Pitch Black, Triple Nickel and White Knuckle, with B5 Blue exclusive to the Daytona Edition.

Dodge designers reached back into the Daytona’s storied past to create cues for the 50th Anniversary Edition, including “Daytona” decklid to rear-quarter decal with matching spoiler. The “Daytona” decal, spoiler and Hellcat badge are white on B5 Blue, Pitch Black and Triple Nickel models. On White Knuckle models, the “Daytona” decal and spoiler are Blue and the Hellcat badge has a bright finish.

Completing the athletic look are 20- by 11-inch “Warp Speed” wheels with a unique Satin Carbon finish, Pirelli 305/35ZR20 all-season performance tires (three-season tires are optional) and ultra-high performance Black Brembo six-piston front and four-piston rear brakes with vented rotors.

Race-inspired interior features carbon fiber and unique Daytona blue accent stitching
Daytona cues are also seamlessly integrated into the interior with unique black heated and ventilated Nappa leather and Alcantara suede performance seats with blue accent stitching and “Daytona” embroidered seat backs. Both driver and front passenger seats feature 12-way power adjust function. The blue accent stitch appears throughout the interior, on the center console armrest, door panels and armrest, dashboard and shifter.

A Dynamica Suede headliner, real carbon fiber instrument panel (IP) and console bezels and Light Black Chrome interior accents are paired to the suede flat-bottom steering wheel, which features dual blue and silver accent stitching. Premium velour-bound floor mats have a blue dual-stitched accent border. Both the steering wheel and floor mats are exclusive to the Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition.

A custom IP badge with the Hellcat and Daytona logos is located on the passenger side identifying each vehicle as “x out of 501.”

Dealer orders for 2020 Dodge Charger models, including Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition, open in fall 2019; vehicles will start arriving in Dodge//SRT dealerships in early 2020.

December 12, 2019 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Winter driving has never looked this good. The snow, rain and slush are just around the corner, and Dodge continues to charge ahead of its competition with the new 2020 Dodge Charger GT all-wheel-drive (AWD), delivering all-weather driving confidence wrapped in muscle car attitude – a powerful combination that just can’t be found outside the Dodge lineup.

For the first time, the Charger GT AWD takes the Charger’s fierce performance exterior and features, including performance hood, fascia, sculpted side sills, spoiler, high-bolstered seats and performance steering wheel with paddle shifters, and mixes it up with all-weather capable all-wheel drive on America’s only four-door muscle car.

"Most people think of Chargers and Challengers as high-performance muscle cars, which clearly they are, but they can also be four-season capable AWD performance cars," said Tim Kuniskis, Global Head of Alfa Romeo and Head of Passenger Cars – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America. “Only Dodge offers vehicles that combine practicality and all-weather driving confidence without sacrificing muscle car attitude.”

The top three purchase reasons for the Charger are exterior styling, fun to drive, and power and acceleration. The Charger GT AWD delivers on all fronts and adds all-weather capability at a starting U.S. manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $34,995 (excluding $1,495 destination charge).

Charger GT AWD joins Charger SXT AWD in dealer showrooms, giving more AWD options and a broader range of price points; Challenger SXT and GT AWD are also available for 2020 model year. Dealer orders for Charger GT AWD will be open for orders in January, and vehicles are scheduled to arrive in Dodge//SRT dealerships in the first quarter of 2020.

The new 2020 Dodge Charger GT AWD joins the new Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody and Charger Scat Pack Widebody, as well as the Scat Pack, GT, SXT and SXT AWD, as Dodge continues to buck the trend in a shrinking sedan segment.

In the third quarter of 2019, Charger notched its highest level of third-quarter sales in 13 years. In 2019, the Charger is on pace to lead the U.S. large car sedan segment for the third year in a row in total sales.

America’s only four-door muscle car with AWD
All-wheel drive shouldn’t mean compromise for muscle car enthusiasts, and with a variety of standard convenient features and performance parts, the Charger GT AWD has tons to offer, all year long.

The Charger GT AWD features Dodge’s award-winning 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine, which delivers 300 horsepower at 6,350 rpm and a responsive 264 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,800 rpm. It’s paired with the standard TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission, offering up to an EPA-estimated 18 city/27 hwy miles per gallon (mpg). A tuned induction system and dual exhaust from the manifolds back to the tips help deliver more than 90 percent of the engine’s peak torque from 1,800 to 6,400 rpm – all for outstanding drivability and responsiveness.

In addition to the class-exclusive all-wheel-drive system with active transfer case and front-axle disconnect, the Charger GT AWD carries Charger’s unmistakable, menacing performance look and features with the standard performance hood, front and rear fascias, sculpted side sills, spoiler, all-wheel-drive suspension, 3.07 rear axle ratio, performance steering wheel with paddle shifters, Dodge Performance Pages with the 8.4-inch Uconnect screen, Houndstooth cloth high-bolstered performance seats and Dark Dub Plate instrument panel.

For all-weather traction all year long, the Charger GT AWD features P235/55R19 BSW all-season performance tires mounted on 19-inch aluminum wheels in a Satin Carbon finish, optional in Black Noise. Projector LED fog lamps, a performance rear spoiler, ParkSense rear park assist and ParkView rear backup camera are also standard equipment on the Charger GT AWD.

All-wheel-drive confidence to weather any storm
The Dodge Charger GT AWD features Dodge’s high-performance, technologically advanced all-wheel-drive system, which includes a class-exclusive active transfer case that delivers excellent all-season performance and fuel economy.

The Charger GT AWD seamlessly transitions between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive with no driver intervention. For the driver who wants to engage the AWD system full-time, the Charger GT’s AWD system also can be activated for full-time engagement with the push of the Sport button.

For the enthusiast who truly values the rear-wheel-drive performance Charger delivers, the front wheels are disengaged and 100 percent of the engine’s torque is directed to the rear wheels. This preserves the outstanding fun-to-drive performance and handling characteristics inherent to rear-wheel-drive vehicles. When sensors indicate the need for additional traction, the system automatically engages the front wheels, instantly transitioning Charger GT AWD into all-wheel-drive mode.

Enhanced with Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), the Charger GT AWD has impressive handling on all surfaces, especially snow and slush. VDC provides excellent traction on slippery surfaces and also helps the driver maintain the desired vehicle path. Enhancing the on-road dynamic performance using precise front-to-rear torque control integrated with the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system, VDC maintains fun-to-drive character of the Charger, regardless of road conditions.

In addition, the new Charger GT AWD features Sport mode, paddle shifters and Dodge Performance Pages. With Sport mode active, AWD is fully engaged, gear changes are quicker and revs are held higher for even more performance-oriented acceleration. For even more control, the driver can also use the die-cast steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters and view gear selection through the full-color Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) centered in the instrument cluster.

The Super Track Pak button activates Dodge Performance Pages and launch control features embedded in the 8.4-inch touchscreen radio. Visible performance information, such as reaction times, 0-60 times, G-force indicator and lap times, can be monitored, and even mirrored, in the 7-inch thin-film transistor (TFT) customizable cluster display. The new Charger GT AWD model also features three-mode ESC with “full-off” mode, a fun feature for drifting through snowy scenes.
