Autoweek America Winners Receive Their Prize

You may recall the SEMA show this past November when a crowd of anxious participants of the Autoweek America Rally gathered around the Mopar '11 Charger, each with at least one key fob in hand. The participants had won the fobs over the course of the week long rally and one of them belonged to the shiny, new Mopar '11 that sat before them. Each team took turns walking up to the vehicle and pressing the key fob they held as the crowd waited with bated breath. Finally, "The Flying Baldini Brothers," or as they are known by family and friends Christopher, Tim & Kailee, stepped up to the vehicle and as they pressed their key fob the front lights on the vehicle lit up, making it their own.
Now, a few months later, the group has received their vehicle just in time to take it out for the Spring and we've checked in with them to ask a few questions and snap some pictures of them picking up their new prized possession.
Christopher and Kailee receive their Mopar '11 at a dealership in Tacoma, WA. (Tim was unable to join them for the pick-up)
What is it about the Mopar '11 that makes it a cool prize?
So many things. The fact that its the zero car out of limited edition of 1,500 is pretty damn cool. Not to mention all performance tweaks that Mopar has done to it. Oh, and and its black, which is always a good thing.
Who gets to keep the car?
We aren't sure yet (who gets the car). We are entertaining each doing one big smoky burnout with it, and then parking it in the garage with 20 miles on the odometer. We figure it will fetch a pretty penny in 30 years. Or maybe we will follow in our uncle's footsteps and drive the wheels off of it. Based on how mean the thing is, I'm sure it will show up and start whispering bad things to us ...
You sure you don't want to make our lives easy and send us three of them?
Would you recommend this rally to friends?
Very much so. Anyone who is into cars would have a great time at this event. The wide range of challenges, as well as the camaraderie with all the other competitors made for a really fun and memorable week.
Would you participate in this rally again yourselves?
Yes! We have already asked for the dates for next year!
