Chevrolet HHR wagons recalled for injury risk
DETROIT ó General Motors Corp. is recalling 181,516 Chevrolet HHR wagons because they donít meet U.S. standards for driver and passenger protection.
The recall affects 2006 to 2008 models that donít have so-called roof rail air bags, the automaker said in a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Dealers will install an energy-absorbing plastic piece to the headliner trim, GM said.
The head-injury risk was discovered in tests in December, and GM retests last month resulted in some scores not within the U.S. standards, the firm said
