Final weekend to cash your clunker - Chrysler offers rebate for one more week
August 22, 2009
The Federal Cash for Clunkers (CARS) program ends on Monday, so if you're reading this and thinking about trading in on a new fuel-efficient car, you should probably step away from your computer and go car shopping now.
But even if you don't have a qualifying clunker, Chrysler is still offering $4500 cash back on its cars through the end of the month, so you have an extra week to get a smokin' deal on a Dodge, Chrysler, or Jeep.
"Everyone shopping for a new car or truck qualifies for an incentive of up to $4,500 - even if they don't have a vehicle that qualifies under the U.S. Government's program," said Steven Beahm, Vice President - Sales Operations, Chrysler Group LLC. "This incentive is great in that it's easy to understand and available to everyone."
Obviously, with the challenges that have nearly flatlined Chrysler this year, they're doing all they can to bring you back into a Dodge dealership. If you're shopping for a new car, my advice is to stop in and at least check out Chrysler's lineup. You know the dealer is ready to deal, and you could end up with a new car and a lot more money left in your pocket.
