It was a team effort

It was a team effort for FCA US January sales as at least one vehicle from each brand played a solid role in our 7% sales jump to 155,037 vehicles sold.

How about Chrysler? Chrysler 300 saw sales grow 45% to 4,634 sold, while you bought 8,380 Chrysler Town & Country minivans. That’s a 39% growth.

Or, are you a Dodge loyalist? Dodge Charger was #5 in sales volume with 9,164 sold, for a +30% growth. Dodge Grand Caravan had the most growth of any vehicle at +83% growth, to 8,525 minivans sold. Dodge Durango, Dodge Journey and Dodge Challenger also had double-digit growth.

Are you more of a Jeep® person? Overall, the brand had its best January sales, with sales records from Jeep Cherokee, our second-most popular vehicle with 15,347 sold, Jeep Patriot and Jeep Compass.

Or, are you a Ram Trucks fan? Ram pickups had its best January ever with 29,938 sold, for a +5%. ProMaster vans also helped with a 33% growth to 2,109 vehicles sold.

Not to be forgotten, the Fiat 500X helped with the sales increase with 1,018 in new sales.

The photo album is a look at the nine vehicles with January record sales. For FCA US January 2016 sales details, see our comment post below.

The Dodge Charger saw a 30% sales growth last month, to 9,164 sold, for its best January ever.

FCA US sold 8,456 Dodge Journey crossovers, good for a 20% gain over January 2015 and its best January ever.

Sales of the Jeep® Compass grew 18% last month, compared to January 2015, totalling 5,089 for its best January ever.

The Dodge Challenger had record January U.S. sales of 5,085 for a 11% growth over January 2015.
