Came across this Press Release that may be of interest:

722.6 / W5A580 Performance Transmissions Have Been Added to IPT Performance Transmissions Product Line

Calling it a "milestone day for our industry", IPT Performance Transmissions unveiled the first line of performance transmission products specifically for W5A580 and 722.6 automatic gearboxes.

Wayne, NJ (PRWEB) March 3, 2008 -- Calling it a "milestone day for our industry", IPT Performance Transmissions unveiled the first line of performance transmission products specifically for W5A580 and 722.6 automatic gearboxes.

As more Dodge Charger, Magnum, Nitro, Crossfire, 300 Series, SRT-8, Jeep Commander, and various Mercedes
vehicles are being heavily modified for higher performance and increased horsepower, their automatic transmissions have shown the need for products and components designed to cope with the additional stress.

Staying ahead of the competition as always- IPT Performance transmissions is expanding its product line to include complete performance transmissions, custom high stall torque converters, modified valve bodies, heavy duty internal components and high performance transmission rebuild kits for Dodge Charger, Magnum, Nitro, Chrysler 300 Series, Crossfire, Jeep Commander, and Mercedes vehicles with the 722.6 / W5A580 transmission.

The complete performance transmissions represent the strongest configuration available in the industry, while the high stall torque converters normally yield a reduction of between one half and one full second in quarter mile elapsed times. "This line of products is among our most advanced ever and is compatible with most factory and aftermarket computer and tuning enhancements", a company spokesperson said.

The new 722.6 / W5A580 performance transmission products will be added to IPT's online catalog at the following URL: IPT Performance Transmissions Torque Converters and Transmission Parts for Ford, GM, Chrysler, and Import vehicles
