Chrysler Mexico’s sales outperformed the overall industry in April despite continued media speculation about the future of the company.
Chrysler Mexico reported a 36 percent drop in sales in a market that was down 39 percent. The company achieved a market share of 11.4 percent, its best since March 2008. By comparison, the No. 1 and No. 2 volume manufacturers, Nissan and General Motors, were down 47 percent and 52 percent respectively.
The Dodge Journey again was the No. 1-selling CUV, outselling its closest competitor by nearly two to one.
