change of brakes and rotors what the hell

I am from Australia and own a 2009 dogde nitro SX R. Can someone help me understand why when I put my Car in for a 30000 service they had to change my Brake Lining and Rotors....NOTE not under Warranty as the warranty on brakes and rotors run out at 20000....I have owned all different Models of Cars and never in all my years have I had to have the brakes and rotors changed at such Low KM's.......I called Chrysler only to be told it is their standards....All that has come out of this is that...1..never will i ever buy another Chrysler and 2....Never will my Car go into a dealer to have services done... it will only go to a dealer if there is warranty work to be done...

This may sound Trivia to someone but right from the word go I have had drama's with this car...First being when it had it first service at 1000km they left the head cap off my Car...I found it weeks after
Then the turbo hose Blow at 7000 km... The at its 10000 km service they did tighten the hose...
Then 3 batteries later and no one being able to work out wat the problem was...We took it to our own Auto Electrician who found that the relay box was put on upside down and full of that fixed the Power Problem

Then the brake issue I mentioned above.
Last but not least We just got our car back from the work shop due to a diesel Leak.......I could go on forever about the problems we have had but I think I have made my point.

Brake change

I live in Guelph, just west of Toronto, Canada. I drive an 07 Nitro SXT, 3.7L auto.
I had my brake rotors and pads changed the week before last at 120,000km (75,000miles). Cost was $1,100.00cdn at a CAA shop.
My guess is your driving technique, the Nitro is a heavy vehicle.
I've also had Jiffy lube leave the oil filler cap off on my Jeep Comanche back twenty years ago, so it's not just a dealer thing, coated the underside of the hood (bonnet) with oil, at least it stopped it going rusty. lol
The only issues since owning my Nitro - I had to replace the transfer case selector actuator motor during the first winter, the recall J28 for the wiper relay, and I broke the side panel off the driver seat, glued and screwed it back on until I get a replacement panel and figure out how to change it, then also screw it on, oh and hit a snowbank the week after I bought it and cracked the front skirt - glued up.

Not my driving

Hi Jhnhopkins,

Thanks for you reply. I can understand having brakes and rototes changed at 120000km but not at 28000km. I took the brakes and rototes to a brake specialist and was told they was nothing wrong with them and i really should fight them.....I do not have the time or money to fight these guys.....I have owned 10 different makes of Cars and never have I had this problem...I do understand that the Dogde nitro is not a heavy fourwheel drive it does not do hesvy work. This vehicle has only really done highway work it has never really done town or city work so the brakes would never have been used as much as they would have if I lived in the city....I have spoken to 4 other Dogde owners here in Australia and they to have been stug by Dealers and Chrysler backing the dealer.....Each of these people thought they were the only one's that this happened to
