Car not starting when cold
Hi, hope someone can help.
I've had my Dodge Nitro 2009 2.8 CRD (89000 miles) for 2 years and enjoyed every moment. This summer I noticed the starting would take a little longer than normal, but it would start. When it got cold the car cranks, but it will not start.
I've got a good battery and I've replaced the glow plugs. I've also had a recent oil and fuel filter change.
When I removed the old glow plugs they were coated in a hard deposit.
None of this has helped the starting in the cold.
I've checked the resistance of the circuit and all is okay. I have noticed though when the key is turned to start, the voltage to the glow plugs is only on for a very short time. So I have a Glow Plug Module/Relay being delivered to me in the next 7-10 days.
Can anybody tell me if there is a temp sensor telling the Glow Plug Module/Relay to work and if so, where is it.
