Chrysler Canada: Dodge Takes Nine of Top 10 Spot in St. Eustache; Steckly Claims Third Win in a Row

Rookie Dodge driver Alex Guenette takes second place

Steckly now leads four Dodge drivers atop series’ standings

August 1, 2013 , Windsor, Ontario -

From Vernon, B..C, through Saskatoon, SK, to St. Eustache, QC, Scott Steckly and his No. 22 Canadian Tire/Sylvania Dodge have been an unbeatable pairing. The Milverton, ON driver was atop the podium for the third time in a row last Saturday, winning the National 250 presented by Public Mobile at Autodrome St. Eustache.

Steckly’s podium finish puts him atop the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 points standings, just ahead of four other Dodge drivers. It was a hard-fought win, with Steckly and driver J.R. Fitzpatrick exchanging the lead four times over the final 65 laps of the race. Side-by-side on Lap 243, Fitzpatrick spun, paving the way to victory lane for the No. 22 Canadian Tire/Sylvania Dodge.

“It was a lot of fun racing with J.R.,” said Steckly. “We got into each other a little bit, but nothing serious. It was just great short-track racing.”

St. Eustache was also a notable race for rookie Dodge driver, Alex Guenette, who claimed second place, his best finish of the season. The No. 39 Kawasaki/Motos Illimitées/DLGL Dodge driver now has Top 10 finishes in three of his last four starts.

Of the Top 10 finishers at the Autodrome St. Eustache on Saturday, nine were Dodge entries.
