Owners of 2010 Honda Accords and CR-Vs may be heading in for service sooner than expected, as the automaker announced a recall of 2,277 vehicles. “Honda will recall 2,277 model year 2010 Accord 4-cylinder and CR-V vehicles in the U.S. to replace an electrical wire harness coupler in the engine compartment,” says Honda.
“The wire harness coupler could have been damaged during vehicle assembly, which can lead to engine stalling over time.”
Luckily, not all Accord and CR-V owners will be affected. Autoblog writes, “The condition impacts certain 2010 Accord and CR-V models, and as of right now, no injuries or accidents have been reported due to the problem.”
So how do you know if your Honda is subject to the recall? Left Lane News reports “The Japanese automaker plans to address the issue effective immediately, and will begin notifying customers via mailer in early February.” Consumers can also find out if their vehicle is subject to the recall by going to www.recalls.honda.com
or by calling (800) 999-1009 and selecting option 4.
