The Dodge Durango – the ultimate "no-compromise" SUV – launches into 2019 with five distinct models – SXT, GT, Citadel, R/T and SRT – providing a solid range of performance and powertrain options, from the 475-horsepower Durango SRT – America’s fastest, most powerful and most capable three-row SUV – to the efficient V-6 power of the Durango SXT, with available all-wheel-drive capability on all models.
New for 2019, Durango GT models continue to deliver V-6 fuel economy, but now share the Durango SRT and R/T’s performance front fascia and LED fog lamps. The SRT-inspired performance hood with center air inlet duct and two heat extractors is available on Durango GT. Also new for 2019, Durango Citadel models get standard second-row captain’s chairs and Durango models equipped with the optional Trailer Tow Group now feature a new integrated trailer brake to complement Durango’s best-in-class towing capability.
“The Durango is our three-row Charger of the SUV segment, delivering uncompromised utility, advanced technology, class-leading towing and driving range, confident driving dynamics and aggressive styling,” said Steve Beahm, Head of Passenger Cars, Dodge//SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America. “Customer demand for utility vehicles in the United States has exploded over the past decade, and with America’s fastest, most powerful and most capable three-row SUVs in our garage and the new updates for the 2019 model year, Dodge Durango continues to separate itself from the competition with the performance and capability that our customers demand.”
Dealers can now place orders for the 2019 Dodge Durango. Vehicles are scheduled to start arriving in Dodge dealerships this fall.
The 2019 Durango SRT remains America’s fastest, most powerful and most capable three-row SUV with the proven 392-cubic-inch HEMI® V-8 delivering 475 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque, allowing it to go from 0-60 miles per hour (mph) in 4.4 seconds and covering the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds as certified by the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), all while outhauling every three-row full-size SUV on the road with a best-in-class towing capability of 8,700 pounds.
New for 2019, the Durango SRT offers available red seat belts and lightweight, high-performance Brembo brakes with two-piece rotors, as well as an available 825-watt, 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system that delivers opulent sound and refinement. An optional 20-inch in Matte Vapor or Brass Monkey finish is available on Durango SRT.
Durango SRT is loaded with standard performance features, including a performance-tuned AWD system, a sophisticated Active Damping System that opens and closes the Durango SRT’s suspension’s damper valves and an exhaust system tuned to offer an unmistakably deep, high-performance Dodge//SRT exhaust note. Durango SRT boasts outstanding high-speed corning capability, thanks in part to stiffer front and rear springs and rear sway bar. Massive Brembo high-performance six-piston and four-piston calipers and vented rotors at all four corners bring Durango SRT to a halt quickly.
Inside, Performance Laguna Leather and true carbon fiber accents on the instrument panel and door bezels are complimented by a hand-wrapped dashboard with live silver accent stitch, SRT flat-bottom performance steering wheel with standard paddle shifters and heated and ventilated front and heated second-row captain’s chairs with embossed SRT logos. Premium velour bound floor mats with embroidered SRT logo and a suede-wrapped headliner and A-pillars give Durango SRT a premium and refined feel.
The 2019 Dodge Durango R/T offers the most muscle for your dollar, powered by the iconic 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine and mated to the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. This combination is good for 360 horsepower, 390 lb.-ft. of torque and a best-in-class tow rating of 7,400 pounds. Dodge is taking its new Durango Pursuit to the Big Easy, introducing the new 2019 model at the 2018 National Sheriffs’ Association Show, June 15-19 in New Orleans.
“Dodge already leads the police pursuit sedan business with the proven Charger Pursuit, and we believe the 2019 Dodge Durango Pursuit SUV will expand our appeal to an even broader audience and take our game to the next level in terms of performance,” said Steve Beahm, Head of Passenger Car Brands – Dodge//SRT, Chrysler, and FIAT, FCA - North America. “The Durango gives law enforcement agencies even more of what they want: a more spacious interior room, a higher ride height, HEMI® V-8 performance and efficiency.”
New for 2019, the 2019 Dodge Durango Pursuit features a new front fascia with integrated brake-cooling air ducts for improved brake performance and durability. Durango Pursuit also now features a performance-tuned, load-leveling suspension to bolster control and stability, enhancing its Pursuit-level driving capabilities.

The Durango Pursuit also offers a two-speed transfer case for true low-range off-road capability and incorporates larger, heavy-duty anti-lock brakes that deliver a 60-0 mile per hour (mph) stopping distance of 134 feet.
Additional highlights for 2019 include a performance-tuned suspension, load-leveling NIVOMAT shocks, 13.8-inch front and 13-inch rear pursuit-rated brake package, front- and rear-stabilizer bars and 18-inch tires on aluminum wheels.
