Are you talking about Dodge Nitro 2007 Oil change light
instead?

If not, top of my head does your Nitro have a full amount of oil in it? Does it need an oil change, how long since the oil has been changed? I would change the oil AND install a MOPAR oil filter.

I would replace the oil sending unit since they are fairly cheap depending what engine you have (they are different) and check the wiring and connection. Good Luck!

The oil pressure sending unit controls the oil pressure light or gauge depending on which you car is equipped with. When oil pressure is applied, the switch contacts either shut off the oil light or make the oil pressure gauge active.

Oil pressure light

I have a 2007 Nitro. In the mornings when I first crank it up the oil pressure light comes on. I can turn engine off and restart and it does not do it again till the next morning. What dies that mean?
