The Nitro production, which began last summer, finished second in its mid-sized sport-utility vehicle category, at 20.11 hours to make a vehicle. The factory that produces both the Nitro and Liberty combined did one vehicle per 22.13 hours, up from 19.74 hours the year before with just the Liberty. In its factory, Wranglers were produced every 22.05 hours, worse than 20.84 hours the year before.
But Harbour officials said with the Nitro being new and with Wrangler launching a new four-door version last year, productivity numbers are understandably worse.
