WINDSOR, ON, Jan. 3 /CNW/ - Chrysler Canada reported today that sales
have been up in each of the 12 months of 2007, including a 2.9 per cent
increase in December. With the introduction of nine new models in 2007,
Chrysler Canada's sales growth has exceeded that of the Canadian market by
gaining more new customers than any OEM in Canada. With 232,859 sales,
Chrysler Canada becomes the number two seller of cars and trucks in the
country.

Chrysler Canada sold 19,130 vehicles in December, up from 18,589 vehicles
in December of 2006. Annual sales were up 5.6 per cent in 2007 versus 2006,
adding 12,300 new Chrysler customers versus last year. This performance
allowed Chrysler to gain market share in 2007.

"We consider 12 consecutive months of sales growth to be the equivalent
of a perfect season," said Reid Bigland, comparing the auto industry to the
world of sports. "With a highly fuel-efficient line-up and aggressive Canadian
pricing, I expect continued success for Chrysler in the Canadian market in
2008."

Through December and 2007 retail sales were up sharply while less
profitable daily rental sales were similarly down, demonstrating the strong
consumer market acceptance of Chrysler, Jeep(R) and Dodge models.
