Chrysler lures Canadians
DaimlerChrysler AG is offering Canadian car buyers discounts that match those given to employees, in a bid to catch up with Toyota Motor Corp. and Honda Motor Co., whose sales beat the carmaker in Canada.
The discounts on all 2006 and most 2007 Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge models will range from 10% to 30% depending on the vehicle, said Stuart Schorr, a spokesman for DaimlerChrysler's Canadian unit. Ford Motor Co. also has given price reductions on cars and trucks sold in Canada.
