Chrysler LX platform car show coming to Brampton

BRAMPTON – Some GTA-based cars enthusiasts are bringing a one-of-a-kind LX platform show to Brampton.

On Sunday (May 24), more than 100 LX cars, including Dodge Magnum, Charger, Challenger, Dodge 300 as well as the new Hellcat, from across the Toronto region are expected to take part in the GTALX 2015 auto fair at the Heart Lake Conservation Area in Brampton.

“We’re doing it for a group of people who are passionate about the LX platform,” said Bryan Minhinnett, an auto enthusiast and host of the show. “And, we’re hoping to facilitate those who have the same common interest in the LX series of cars and provide them with a platform to show off their cars and the work they have done to it.”

Brampton Chrysler is not involved in the show.

The fair timings for Sunday (May 24) are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The first round of the two-day show will be held on Saturday (May 23) at 1025 The Queensway in Etobicoke.

After expenses (park rent and insurance cost), the raised money will go towards Peel Children Aid Society.

The LX is the series designation given to a group of cars that share the same mechanical components such as springs, shocks, engine and suspension. The only difference is their bodies and interior. All of the LX cars are built at Brampton assembly plant.
