Contemplating - any complaints on V6?

I've been eyeing the Nitros for 3 months. The one I want is still at the dealer because it is orange and I guess no one but me would drive it. It's the V6 loaded SLT (I don't want more power). Does anyone have one - V6? I'm not one for buying vehicles in the first production year, but I did like it very much.

That's good to hear. I've never owned an SUV myself. My husband drives a Dodge Durango Hemi. The Nitro is the only SUV that I have ever liked whatsoever. Problem is I have a beautiful Mustang convertible that I don't want to part with. It's a 2002 with less than 20k miles. Ugh.
i have over 5000kms on my inferno red slt 4x4 its a one of a kind ride and i love it and im sure u will two and u will get as many people checkin out your nitro as u would with your top down <convertible> the 3.7 is a very sporty motor.

Oh... you have to go buy that Orange Nitro. On the other Nitro forum I'm on, the Orange is a hot pick and very hard to find (I've seen pics). I just bought my Light Khaki Metallic NITRO SXT about a month ago and it is truly a great SUV. Big enough for 5 comfortably... looks awsome... great handling... great on gas. I've had 4 Explorers and 1 GMC Envoy... all good... but the Nitro gives you everything in a brand new hot package and gas mileage. BY THE ORANGE NITRO!!!
I orderd a Sunburt Orange SLT for my wife in November and am waiting with bated breath for it to come in.
My old car was a 2003 mustang. I love the Nitro and you should def buy it.
I have a SLT 4x2. The two complaints I has is no passenger assist handle for the front and the placement of the aux. plug on the radio. Why in the world would DC put it on the right over the shifter is beyond me. I guess they never test drive their products. I haven't checked the mpg real close but I don't think it is going to be anything great.

That Orange is a GREAT color!!! If you go to NitroforumZ.com and look around you'll find some pics of the Orange Nitro up in the header. Go through the pages of general discussion. There's even be a topic in there somewhere about someone seeing the new Orange Nitro and thinking that was THE COLOR!!!
I bought the Light Khaki Metallic and love it... but if the Orange had been there???????????????????????? It's show car action all the way!!!
My wife was kind of in the same predicament. When we purchased our Nitro, we traded in our '03 Durango R/T (The Hot Tamale). She was in love with that SUV. NOBODY cut her off intraffic!!! When she finally gave up the keys, she was a bit emotional but now she couldn't be happier. If it's looks that you're looking for in your car, the Nitro is the way to go. Everywhere my wife goes to it seems she has a story to tell about how people were checking out her ride. I'm sure that you to will be happy with the Nitro also. Good luck!

P.S. Sunburst Orange was our second choice after Inferno Red.
No one cuts us off in our Durango either - LOL. I love the orange color on the Nitro and the dealer said he would add a tow package and sun roof. Yesterday, I rode with the top down on the Mustang -- days like that hinders me from getting rid of her.
I think the Nitro is a wise choice, although I am a 'Stang person too. Traded in my last Mustang for the new Shelby. As soon as I am back in the states, I will most likely trade the Dodge truck for a Nitro R/T.

You're getting a Shelby???!!!! You lucky man!!!! There is one sitting on the showroom floor at our local Ford Dealer. I've never loved a little car like my Mustang convertible. I traded cars about every 2-3 years before getting the convertible.

There's always some things that could be different... maybe better (assist handles would be nice on both sides for that matter). I think you have to keep the Nitro's price into perspective. An Escalade it's not... but in my opinion it gives you a good look & a lot of bang for the buck.
On the mpg's... I think an average on a mid size non-hybird SUV of 20-21 and on the freeway up to about 24 is pretty darn good. Compare that to and Explorer or GMC Envoy (I've owned both) and the Nitro is giving you an extra 3 or 4 miles per gallon... times that by 19... an extra 76 miles per tank. I'll take it...

The owner of the company I used to work for bought one, you won't be dissapointed but for the price tag you shouldnt be anyway. GoGirl, dont get rid of the Mustang, everyone needs one in their garage.

This is my car, but the wife made a deal with me when we bought it she gets to drive it on Fridays... I think all wives and everyone else in the world loves the Nitro.
In a perfect world, I'd love to keep it, then there's no trade to bring down the $$$. Ugh, never easy. The Sunset Orange one is still there!!!!!!
I bought the exact one you are talking about and I love the orange. It's fully loaded and turns heads when ever I drive any where. I'd get it and enjoy it!
