Welcome to the forum.

To remove the rear door panel, there are two screws and a bolt. One screw is in the bottom of the arm rest pull, covered by a round piece of plastic. This little cover has a lanyard. The other screw is located behind a similar cover, at the rear lower edge of the panel. The bolt is located behind the round trim piece that circles the door handle. This piece just pops off. Remove the door switch by pulling up, and then disconnect the switch from the harness. Put a few fingers from one hand inside the hole where the switch was, and use your other hand at the bottom of the panel. Now, pull UP, not out. It should pop right off. There are plastic hooks molded into the back of the panel that hold it on. Let us know how you make out regarding the power lock switch.

What was the final outcome to your window/door control issue?

I'm having the same problem and your feedback is so needed.
Welcome to the forum. This member has not posted since last September. I would go ahead and replace the Driver's Side window switch. As the OP mentioned, they are very easy to come off - pull straight up. You can save a lot of money by doing this yourself. This part is available on ebay: search: dodge nitro mopar

Good luck and let us know how you make out.

Power Lock Problems

Anyone ever have an issue with their power door locks? My key fob will unlock the drivers door and that is it. The other 3 doors and the hatch do not unlock even if you use the buttons inside the vehicle. They will however lock with the remote or the button inside.

Have you tried pushing the unlock button 2x on the key FOB?

Yes. The problem is intermittent. When it happens you can only unlock the drivers door from both the key fob or from the door switch. You have to manually pull up all the passengers door locks. However, once they are unlocked using the key fob or the door switch allows you to lock all the doors. The big problem is when it happens there is no way to open the hatch.

Just wanted to update everyone that the final fix to my original post/problem was the repair that the dealer performed......"Replacement of the right side door control module". There were no further issues following this repair to date.

Thank you for the update. Some many times, members post an issue and never return with a result. This type of feedback helps all of the members when they are researching an issue. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum. You have arrived in the right place to have all of your Nitro questions answered. Hop on board, and enjoy the ride.

You can pop the whole switch module out of the arm rest. Just pry it straight up. If it is still plugged in, you will need to replace the unit.

2007 nitro, no control to any of my windows from the master drivers switch. Where are the common Nitro faults so I can check in the correct area first. Fuses? Switch?
Thanks
Welcome Wutagoalie!

From other Nitro Owners it appears that you may need to replace that switch after checking to see that you do indeed have power to it. Check the below link and good luck.

Sometimes you can clean a switch with something like alcohol dumping it down inside to clean its contacts, then other times the switch just has to be replaced! It might be worth a try! Again Good Luck

Here is another LINK that you might find helpful. Check it out

Trouble With Rear Door Remote Locks

I have a 2008 Nitro R/T with 80000 miles that I bought used a couple of months ago. I can't get the back doors to lock or unlock with either the switches on the front doors or from the key fob. Is anyone familiar with this problem? I spoke with a Dodge mechanic that I know from Madison Wisc. and he did a little research on the problem and didn't find a solution.
