Welcome PaulJirsa

Yes we have Threads that cover door lock issues. Did you find these?

Power Lock Problems

Driver window/locks and power mirrors

Power Windows/Power Mirrors Problem

I'm going to merge these Threads (and any more) so in the future it will be easier to find discussions on this issue

Right Rear Door Lock problems 2008 Nitro

As you can see usually any issue with door locks is due to the power door lock/window switch that may have a loose connection or sometimes can be cleaned, but in the end require replacement of a defective switch. Hope this helps and good luck!

Example from Amazon

I seem to be having the same window/mirror/locks issue from the drivers door. I replaced the power window switch, and it still did the same thing. Next I replaced the door module above the speaker. Still, same thing. Power windows work and intermittent rear windows. Drivers Power window switch will not work locks or front windows. Would the Door Module have to be reprogramed in any way or is it a plug and play situation?

Welcome mwsquad

Sorry to hear of your issue.

I would think that you do not have the harness secured to the master switch correctly or that the new switch is defective. Did you check the fuse also? So your key fob works O.K? Guess you could disconnect the battery to reset everything just-in-case. Good Luck and let us know what you find to help others.

driver side window control

Published on Jul 15, 2016

Sorry for the finger in the shot at the end of video. Issues with the controls not operating as they should. You will need the following: Tech 20, tech 8, small flat head (5/64,) and Philips screw drivers. 10mm socket and driver. Isopropyl alcohol and Q-tips.
When prying off the door release handle cover on the right side towards the hinged part of the door be sure to pull out on the handle while pulling the panel to the right to avoid breaking any of the brackets on the back. This fix is for 08-11 JEEP LIBERTY JOURNEY MASTER POWER WINDOW SWITCH BUTTON OEM 04602 632AG

I'm so upset no sooner than I get the AC fixed, the all the window motors blew out at once. The burning smell was so intense. At that point we had to take the door panel off and manually roll it up through this circular object with a flathead. Can someone explain to me what just happened and how I can get it fixed?

Sorry to hear of your problem(s). I suspect it must have to do with the master switch in the drivers door. Did it get wet and short out?

Did you check out the Drivers Power Switch Issues Thread? Any help?

Drivers window switch

New to the forum and looking for help for my daughters 2007 dodge nitro. Her drivers window switch is bad. i tried to clean it and its getting power, contacts must be worn out. Anyway i ordered a new one and it was wrong. i didn't realize there were so many combinations. the original one is 04602533ac. the one i ordered has way more pin-outs than hers. Also i noticed that there is no "Auto" on the switch which i discovered is the auto-down. another thing is they say it fits an 07 but once you see the underside pins its wrong. is this the only switch that works. cause other than a $98 one there is no other options. Any input would help , thanks.

There are different part #s depending on whether you have one touch up/down on both front windows, one touch up/down on drivers side, or one touch up/down on drivers side & one touch down on passenger side. Again, these are not inter compatible, and many places will not take returns on electronics.

[10 Gang [GUU,GTS,JP5,JPB], [GTB,GTS,GT9,JP3,JPH] 10 gang, [GTS,GT(,JPH,JP3], [GUU] Or [GTS], JP5], [JPB] 10 Gang, [JP3], [JP3] 10 Gang, [JP3] 10 gang, [JP3] 10 gang after 11/01/10, [JP3] 10 gang after11/01/10, [JP3] 10 gang up to 11/01/10, 10 Gang, 10 gang [GTB,GTS,GT9,JP3,JPH], 10 Gang [JP3], 10 gang [JP5,JPB,GUU,GTS].
Since you now know the original part # you should have no issue purchasing the correct switch, this time.

Just curious what part # did you receive and order ?

I have a dodge nitro 2007, will fit??
Answer:
It didn't fit mine. They make a couple different ones. You have to take your old one out and count the pins for connection and make sure the new one has the right amount of pins.

Will it fit a 2007 dodge nitro
Answer:
I installed it on my daughter's 2007 Dodge Nitro SLT and it works perfectly. Check your part numbers to make sure it matches. There are many versions that look the same from the top, but have different functions (auto down, auto up/down etc).

Why is so much more $ than the ones you see on ebay, i'd think it would be exact opposite being no auto down option
If you can find a switch # 4602533AF it should work just find. Why so expensive? Because it is the correct one! Really who knows. Remember this switch is a replacement for your 04602533ac.

I couldn't find it much cheaper than $87 but some Sites do guarantee fit if you supply your Vin#.

Dodge Nitro: Drivers Power Window Switch Issues

Window Switch - Mopar (4602533AF)

  • Replaces: 4602533AB, 4602533AC, 4602533AD, 4602533AE
1 touch up & down. With heated mirrors. With express up/down. Without express down. With 2nd row pwr. windows.

Questions:
Did the switch you replaced ever work correctly?

Is the switch you replaced have the same part # as the original switch? (if so could have been the wrong switch to start with)

Not all replacement switches work for heated mirrors or on ALL Nitro.

Also could be a defective switch but I suspect it could be the wrong switch.

Also any other issues?, sometimes it could be a sign that the battery needs to be replaced or reset the the Nitro computer by disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes.

GOOD LUCK!

Yes I replaced it about two years ago and everything worked fine up until about a week ago that’s when the issue with only the rear windows started putting a brand new driver side switch still have the same results wondering if it may be a fuse Or some type of a relay

Guess I was wrong it must be a defective switch. Some have had issues with non MOPAR (Factory part # shown above) replacement switch that are much cheaper not working, or maybe in your case not lasting. Any warranty on your last switch?

I just received it this week I will check read A few replies in regards to this problem someone said it might be pinched wires by the harness or the control module on the door itself
