Dodge Nitro: Installing V5 Lockpick

This product is extremely impressive for many features as shown below. For me my main object was to install front and rear cameras to be viewed on my Nitro 730N radio (RER)equipped with factory MyGIG screen, multimedia navigation GPS radio with SRIUS and rear seat video system and wireless headphones. As you can see below this kit works with all 2007-2011 Nitro MYGIG APPLICATIONS INCLUDE ALL RER / REN / RHB / RBZ / RHR.

To install this MYGIG V5 Freedom In Motion in a Nitro you first need to remove the radio trim plate and radio as shown in this video

DON’T Do as I did and follow instructions. First off cover your Screen to protect it from any scratches.

It may be best to remove the radio, install the new Lockpick harness then reinstall to Nitro to hook backup to factory harness. To allow more room you can also place the vehicle in drive, turn off engine and apply the emergency brake.

The new harness easily fits through an opening to the right passenger side to behind the glove box door. Drop down the door by squeezing both plastic hinges to the inside to access the new Lockpick harness for intended use. Keep in mind that with the glove box door disconnected and hanging down you cannot shut the passenger door, however with it dropped down you can slide it to the right and completely remove it.

I purchase this Lockpick unit and did experience an issue from the start that proved to be a defective Lockpick brain (CPU) that is enclosed in a flimsy plastic housing and must have had a cracked or broken printed circuit board. Nothing I did and was not damaged in shipping but if I just touched the unit, that plugs in to their harness, both cameras would work or not work! Thanks to GPS & Radar Shop (Amazon) for exchanging this unit with a new one that corrected immediately this issue that originally drove me crazy.
