Hello Everybody,

Here Is An Update From Myself, From The Dealer....mark Dodge Located In Lake Charles, Louisiana.

If You Bought Your Nitro Or Other Dodge Vehicle Before The July 2007 Start Of The Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty Then Myself Along With All Of You Have The Opportunity To Buy A Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty For Our Current Vehicle. Call Your Dealer For The Specifics, I Will List What I Know.

I Purchased A Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty For My 2007 Dodge Nitro Slt That I Bought In Nov. Of 2006!!! I Bought It (warranty) In Sept. Of 2007. The Cost Was $750.00 With A $100.00 Deductible, This Is The One That I Bought; Or You Can Pay $900.00 For One Without A Deductible.

These Are Some Things That The Warranty Includes:

Gasoline Engine....ask Dealer For The Rest Of Parts Info.
Transmission.......ask Dealer For The Rest Of Parts Info.
Front Wheel Drive..ask Dealer For The Rest Of Parts Info.
All Wheel Drive.....ask Dealer For The Rest Of Parts Info.
Rear Wheel Drive...ask Dealer For The Rest Of Parts Info.
Four-wheel Drive(4x4). Ask Dealer For The Rest Of Parts Info.

Some Vehicles Are Excluded.

Dodge Says That This Warranty Will Begin At The End Of The Basic Limited Warranty.

At No Charge, To Keep The Warranty For A Lifetime, Every 5 Years, You Must Have A Powertrain Inspection Performed By An Authorized Dealer. Did I Tell You....no Charge!!!

Please Inquire About This With Your Dealership For More Answers. I Left Out Alot But Covered Alot. Good Luck To All. I Wish That They Would Have Given Us The Warranty For Free Instead Of Having To Pay For It But Somethings Cannot Be Given Away Whenever They Are Out To Make Money. Aren't We All??!!!

Thats no deal. The sobs should include all 07s like Ford did when they upped their warranty. A better thing would be to save the $700 and trade for an 08. You would get the warranty and maybe a transmission that shifts correctly.

The Deal Was Good For Me.........

To Some It May Not Be A Good Deal, But I Think That It Is Good For Me. I Chanced It On Not Buying The High Priced Extended Warranty. I Traded In Two Vehicles For The Nitro So All I Have To Drive Now Is This One Vehicle And To Know That I Have A Lifetime Powertrain Warranty On It As Long As I "shift" Thru The Simple Guidelines To Keep This Warranty Up To Spec, Then That Is A "great Deal" To Me!!

Of Course I Do Have Negative Issues On Having To Pay The $750, I Think That They Should Have Given It To The Owners Of All 2007's But TheRE Will Always Be Some Type Of Issues To Complain About. No Need For Me To Give A Speech Here, We All Have Opinions. One Fact That I Wish I Had On My Nitro Is A Little Item Called A Transmission Dip Stick So That I Can Check The Level Myself. Very Different Being Not Able To Check All Of The Fluid Levels. Makes Me Fill Like The Transmission Is Not Important. Clueless On This Issue Even Though I've Talked To The Professionals About It.

Good Luck To All!!!!
