A CAR buyer drove for nine hours to collect a second-hand Dodge Nitro from a garage — only to discover its rear window was smashed.
Michael Sillars, 38, set off at 4am to make the 430-mile trip from Fort William to Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, after spotting the 4x4 for sale on website Autotrader.

The second-hand Dodge had a smashed back window
But he was left shocked to find the glass on its back window completely shattered, left — and claims garage boss Mohammed Ali refused to lower the £3,795 asking price for the 2009 car.
Michael, who walked away and eventually bought another motor in Nottingham, said: “What the guy did was shocking.
“We tried haggling on the price but he wasn’t having it.
“He said he could have got more for it if the window wasn’t smashed. He didn’t think we’d leave empty-handed, but we did.”
