I went with a custom done Flowmaster 40 series w/ 2.5" piping from the cat back and it isn't as loud as I wanted. Wondering if different mufflers are going to make it much louder based on the design. Contemplating today of pulling out the muffler and running straight pipes or bumping up to a 3" piping. Any thoughts?
No part #...you'll have to call Gibson directly and ask them.

hey how are ya heres some thing u might want to try if u were going to go straight pipe, i would run 2' pipe and no smaller than 17/8 and for back pressure use a adjustable flap inside the pipe about 6 " from end of tail pipe so u can adjust the back pressure.CentralOregonNitro said:How loud is it? really? never heard of anything like this...intruiging though. How exactly does a system like this work though? An adjustable flap though. Would something like this be able to be controlled from the drivers seat?
That looks sweet. What kind of performance improvement have you noticed.
Official Dyno #'s were +8hp and 10lb-ft of torque.

How did you do that? I have been emailing them for over a month, first they said the 7th. of jan., then two more weeks, now you have one & I'm still waiting are you a test setup or something. Who did you speak with at Gibson?( sounds great)

I just heard back from a dealer this morn. ,will ck. on when can get delivery & price for sys. tomm. morn. will post after I hear from him , but betting price is going to be pretty close to CGS price & $314.00 the lowest I've been able to find for it.
I don't know how much Gibson's is going to be. Mine was R&D vehicle and I didn't pay anything except for not having my vehicle for a couple of days.

Did you just keep the stock pipes and replace the muffler only? What is the part # of your muffler? Did you decide to change it like you considered?
