I'm considering a Nitro R/T, and was wondering just how well that 4.0 litre engine performs. Have any of you guys taken your R/T's to the track? If so, what were your times and speeds?

How would you describe your every day street performance? Any kills?

How would you rate the Nitro R/T performance to a hemi-powered Ram 1500?

I am waiting for my Nitro to arrive, it is a peppy fun truck, but don't expect to run for pink slips. That's what I have my 427 Vette for.

Well..how about that. The numbers for that Nitro R/T (15.410 at 90.02 mph) put it about in the middle of the pack of stock Ram 1500's with Hemi's. A little tweaking would put these things in the 14's, I'll bet. Add a little nitrous or a turbo and see 13's?

Problem is no one makes any aftermarket parts for the 3.7 let alone the 4.0 yet. Can't even get headers, not NOS systems.

I suppose you could use one of the universal EFI NOS systems.

Roger on the other forum, however I don't enjoy that one very much because it's too tough on the eyes. There are way too many ads to scroll through to find the posts!
