Hello Everyone,

I have been researching and dealer shopping for a Nitro RT. After reading posts here from other Nitro owners I have decided to look elsewhere for my next car purchase. It will be a Diamler product, however, not the Nitro! If Chrysler ever gets the Throttle issues and any other gremlins worked out, maybe then I will purchase one for myself or my family. To bad as I Love the looks of the Nitro and am ready to order my next vehicle asap. Time to go look at the 2007 Grand Cherokee to replace my AWESOME 1997 Grand Cherokee Laredo that I bought new. Great SUV!

Good luck Nitro fans,

Sad---Nitro wanabee :(

Hey Dad... I think the problems you're hearing about are way overstated. Forums like these post basically two things. Love & praise for someones new toy... or individual problems. When you look a the sales numbers and take into consideration first year out I think the Nitro stands up fine. Remember there were Ford Explorers blowing bad tires & F150's catching fire while they had been out for years. I even remember Jeeps having a little jumping out of park recall. The Jeeps a good vehical (it's all my brother and his wife buy). He has a couple year old Cherokee and she has a new Liberty. The Nitro is built on the Liberty platform at the old Liberty plant in Toledo with a reworked 3.7L Liberty engine. It's a pretty close family. I'd drive a Nitro if you haven't & talk with the dealer. Nitro... Jeep... you've still got a really good vehical!

I think you will find a certain number of problems with whatever vechile you buy, The Nitro being new will have a few i'm sure but as stated before so do a lot of more estabilished vechiles. I know I love mine so far and have had no problems as it seems with most of the people who have bought one. Give it a chance don't think you will be disapointted in your decision. my .02
